the biggest complaint for me is how they changed the start menu lol i don't like making crap look like touch screen.

i don't either. i hate tiles and deactivated as much as i could. cortana too. there are way too many things in here that want data mining and i've turned off all the ones i can find

Better that I do this than what I really want which is to use Hype unfriendly language to tell off the myriad idiots and fools on the Hype what they can do with themselves... Which would just lead to the Mods having to actually moderate... And we can't have that CC.

The only good thing about the way Scrubs limped along and even jumped networks was that the series creator did it to keep the various crew people working who might otherwise have been laid off. He has admitted to it being less than stellar but given the economic climate at the time, he didn't want all those people who had worked for him to have to scrounge for work.

It's interesting that Braff's career kind of stalled post GARDEN STATE. McGinley is of course a character actor legend now and Chalke is the one with some fanboy cred being part of the Rick and Morty team.

Season 9? I'm talking about the season where they basically tried rebooting with terrible actors... If the crew was happy doing THAT work, then god have mercy on their souls.

I think you should tell off the myriad idiots. I'm sure anything you say couldn't possibly be as bad as the passive aggressive, condescending, straight up rude posts people make... like in the Star Wars forums or the Community forums when there is a real topic. Hell... You recently PM'd me about someone who should have been banned months ago simply for being a trolling *****ebag who is begging for attention.

the real issue? i'm talking as a poster, not a mod:
there are threads specifically for it (even a music subforum) and the posts do nothing to move conversation along. i just find it spammy. it wouldn't be allowed anywhere else, but since it's a lounge, can't really say too much unless you were like posting 10 in a row in separate posts

i honestly don't click the videos, i try to skim right past them. however, if you (or anyone else) post any videos with language or imagery that aren't by hype standards, you can be infracted for it.

Yeah, the Franco era of Scrubs with the new female lead. Don't get me wrong... It sucked but I have to admire a Hollywood type who was looking out for the people who worked for him for years and years like all the craftsmen and set designers and all the other behind the scenes people that make a TV show possible. As mentioned, Zach Braff's career has stalled but I doubt he's hurting in any meaningful way, and it would have been the same if he hadn't did those "hand off to a new cast" episodes. The carpenters and grips and the rest that don't get royalty checks from syndication, they needed to keep working. It was ****** TV, no doubt, but I gotta admire a Hollywood TV producer that tried to keep those people employed.

Well sorry you find it "spammy" CC, but it's in good fun, there's never an intent to post NSFW material of any import (I try my best to make sure there's no super salty language or imagery ), often there's a theme if you can see the connections between the music and the images, it often IS connected to the conversations, such as there are in the wee hours of the morning (there's a method to my madness 90% of the time) and I like to share music.

As always, and I ask this a lot, I don't know what you or other's seem to want from this Lounge sometimes? I'm sorry I don't mirror the conversations you and others had on the Hype circa 2003 but I'm not an oversharing 16 year old raised in the Internet forum culture which I can assume is what was the majority of the Hype posters from that time.

I've contributed to a huge number of the various sub forums around here, being someone that used to read Marvel and DC comics voraciously. So conversation is something I have done to varying degrees in my three years on the Hype CC. HERE however I like that instead of the usual rhetorical knife fights/pissing contests this place can just be relaxed and fun with some nerdy jokesters who are actually getting along instead of nursing bitter recriminations and resents all because they disagree about fictional occurrences in varying mass media franchises.

And it's not like I haven't contributed to meaningful stuff either. KevG's dog having to be put down the other day? My message? From the heart, which surprises even me since I am (rightly) skeptical of the connections one can really make online given the inherent limitations of this form of communication. But what I typed out to Kev came from the heart because Kev is one of my favorite posters here. He's a fun presence that above all has a great sense of humor and fun and skewed view of things, while also having a sense of real empathy and humanity, or at least that's the impression I get. So my sympathy and advice to him about the circumstances with his dog was as real as could be.

Frankly given the atmosphere this past year I've taken to coming to this Lounge more and more because "the natives are restless" and have been for some time but 2016 was the watershed year where I just stopped caring as much as I used to about this place and put my fanboy energies into something else, something I find more rewarding and fun, since the debates and personalities of the Hype threads hold a lot less interest than they used to for me. But I still came to the Lounge to have fun and interact with some good people, guys and gals that have taken the time out because of the relationships forged here, who helped me with my podcast. Vic, Roose, dude, Reek... They were incredibly helpful in my preparing for my GAME OF THRONES show, as well as my STAR WARS show. So, again, I think not only do I contribute but I have benefited as well from other posters. If that's not an ideal model way for an online community to act, then I don't know what is.

In any case... All that in exchange for posting some music and images doesn't seem like a bad deal but perhaps I should follow my instincts and leave the to the usual "argues for the sake of arguing" types that make up the vast majority of it's members since I've never fit into this group all that well to begin with. I mean... If I'm annoying YOU CC, one of the most chill mods here, then I can only imagine what others really think.

A 'blue merle' Australian Shepherd. Smarter than I am so I should be eating out of a dish soon. She's pretty awesome though.

Season 6-7 are the low points IMO... season 8 picked back up and finished a lot of stories and had a tearfest of a finale. then came back for a season 9 which I refuse to accept as a real thing.
