i have not text her yet

but i did run into my nephew (who is 26) and i asked him if he's spoke to her lately. they're not particularly close either. i mentioned off-hand that i've not heard from her since May but that didn't strike him as odd. it's par for the course with her it feels like.

i'd be lying if i said my sister was perfect. she's not. i'm not. we both have our flaws, but she's always been a selfish person. we raised my nephews more (my mom and me) than she did growing up, she'd disappear for days at a time and there are other things i could mention, but i dont really need to say them right now.

i don't know why it bothers me so much that she's cut off contact. its not just me, but she doesn't talk to our mom anymore either, claiming that mom's "too much drama for her to deal with". i dont know how she can say that after all the things she has put us through. ive always wanted to be close to my siblings. my closest sibling is 15 years older than me and while we're probably the closest, he's more like her than he is like me.

i just can't figure out why she doesn't want anything to do with me. i'm not that horrible of a person truly. i've never asked her for anything and i have always gone out of my way to help her and just about anyone really. i guess it just bothers me because we are family but only in name i suppose.

the funny thing? she lives so close by that i could walk over there and we still never see each other

This is more info than last time CC. It changes my advice. Make the effort, but seriously, if she doesn't respond I suggest you move on as best you can emotionally. It sounds like you made the right moves more or less. She has problems or is indeed too selfish. Either way, a reasonable person should only have to put up with so much.

I still think you should text her. And flat out say you want to be sisters again. If it leads nowhere you can say your conscience is clear and that you did your best. If she doesn't want anything to do with you, that's on her. You just make sure you stay that much closer to your brother and to your nephew and your mum.

So about that peanut butter :oldrazz:?

We like you, you are not a terrible person.
Obviously, I have no advice to give you regarding this situation cause, you know, they already said every possible bit of advice that can be delivered in a situation like this.
I just hope your sister grows out of her shell and open up more to your mother, you, and her son.
 
i wasn't being grumpy i promise lol

some alcohol wouldn't be too bad. but i'm gonna go with sleep for now and see how that goes. night all
