Ok so, i'm doing this project for school....(I will get to that later) and I need to film a somewhat big, but still kind of small gun battle.

Now, I want to film it at my public park...the problem is, I dont want to get shot, or arrested for making a movie.

So, since the park really isnt owned by anyone (or atleast anyone I can contact), would it work if I filmed the gun battle, but held up a sign of sorts around the filming area that states "WE ARE FILMING! DONT WORRY! NOT REAL!" ? Or would it do nothing?

Any help?

The park is owned by the town it's in. You have to get a permit to film there at the time you want to film. That costs money. And they might need to have some sort of town official there, maybe even a cop, to make sure it doesn't cause a public scare.

My best suggestion, you should first contact the parks and recreations office for the city. They're the one's you need to chat with.
