Incredible Hercules anyone?

I hadn't even thought of a Hercules/Ares showdown, but I guess they are on opposite sides of the SHRA now. Looks like it'll be ****ing sweet. :)

I think Cebulski is kind of the new Slott in that he's the cool underdog figure championing the forgotten characters of Marvel. The man wants to do a Power Pack story. That's class right there.

That's the truth. Also, that Koi Pham artwork is good. Incredible Hercules? I'm in.

CBC: No, because Darkhawk is a Loners character and I am pitching a second series.

To this I add: YEESSSS! I mean in all honesty, THE LONERS is selling at near #115 or so and that is terrible for a Marvel book, but I don't care man, I hope CBC succeeds and can nab another 6 issue run on that book. With the base title of RUNAWAYS left in a bit of a lurch (by the time Whedon gets a handle, his run is over, and the Moore/Ramos run is hardly being anticipated), this spin-off has delivered that sort of spark with it's C-List cast. This mini just seems like it is getting a story started and it would be a shame to not see more.

I mean, he's a former editor. That has to equal some sort of pull on pitches. Right?

I mean, hell, if X-MEN: FIRST CLASS could warrent an ongoing despite it's 8 issue mini diving from the Top 100, surely THE LONERS deserves another go (and XM:FC is actually a guilty pleasure of mine).

Great news to hear that Ceb hasn't given up on Loners yet. :D

I was worried when I heard Pham was onboard for art.Looks good and I wouldn't mind him in the long run.

John ****in' Lennon, that s**t looks tight

I'm trying it out as an exclamation, you shut up:cmad:

Anyway, a Herc book would be terrible in the past, however, the Amadeus character changes all that. He's a great character and can make me interested in any book:up:

I love me some Herc, the best bit in Civil War was his bits imo. So I think I'm down for that - although I'll have to get over my irrational hatred of Hulk and his title.

It probably won't be his title for this arc, though. It's solicited as "Incredible XXXX" in the previews. :)

For a few months I would exclaim "JONATHON FRAKES!" when I was upset, but I gave it up because no one understood...I think you've got a good thing going here.

At New York Comic Con, he told me he's been trying to sell Joe Q on a new Cloak & Dagger series for YEARS now...i'd love to see it.

I'm not as big a fan of Cloak and Dagger as I am of the Power Pack, but I'm all for anything that raises some good past heroes back to the forefront.

A Cloak and Dagger series under Cebulski would rock. If his take on them is anything like BKV's take (and it probably is), I'd buy 5 copies.

BKV's take seemed to just be the classic take. I'm not all that familiar with Cloak and Dagger, though. Did he do anything different, or did he just take the classic personalities and write them well?

He took Cloak's classic personality and wrote it well, and took Dagger's classic personality, made her stronger and tougher and wrote it well. It's the perfect characterization for them, in my opinion.

Cool. I did like Cloak and Dagger a lot in Runaways. I also loved them in Maximum Carnage, which I just read all the way through for the first time a couple weeks ago. Captain America totally steals the show in that for me, but Dagger's return is one of the high points of the crossover, too.

I liked it. Obviously, the dialogue (happy? ;)) is a bit dated, but the art is usually good (except for the Lyle issues, although he did eventually get better) and the story is pretty solid. I don't think it actually needed to be as long as it was, since the central concept is pretty simple and it doesn't do much else that's too complex, but it was definitely good.

I especially loved how Cap is cast in the role of the absolute topmost beacon of justice and righteousness in the Marvel universe, too. :)

I should go back and reread it. I remember thinking it was the shizznit when I was younger.

Yeah, I liked the parts I read of it when I was younger, too. I loved the Genesis game.

Who didn't? Any videa game that was Marvel related in any way was right up my alley.
