Highlights:

~ Lots of questions submitted from Joe's staff at Marvel, mostly joke questions and answers, but also some interesting ones as well.

~ Todd Nauck is the new artist for Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, and more sketches for Michael Ryan's work on Runaways is shown.

~ More complaints addressed about the amount of ads in the comics.

~ The George Parel Iron Man cover posted on his website was indeed just a work sample and not an official cover.

~ Previews for the February solicits that will be out next week with Civil War previews out on Sunday(even though the even is supposed to be done in January).

I'm excited about those Legion of Monsters one shots...

:word:

Eternals gets an extra issue! Thats awesome.

I gotta question. World War Hulk is a separate mini from the Incredible Hulk title?

Yeah I am pretty sure. It's next year's "event" so I am pretty sure it will be a mini with a couple tie ins, but not as much as Civil War.

Haha, Spidey's back in black just in time for Spider-Man 3. :whatever:
On the plus side, SPIDER-HAM!

FNSM- Black costume, Uncle Ben and Sandman! Thats not a tie-in at all!:wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:

Q: Are you aware of the dangers of trans fat or are you choosing to be blissfully ignorant?

JQ: I’m just answering fandom’s call and slowly killing myself.

laughed my ass off.

Now all we gotta have is MJ breaking up with Peter and probably dying. :yay: :down (C'mon, you know something like that's gonna happen to her in the movie.)

The 'Voort doing the robot is classic.

While that's obviously the case, I'm actually happy to see him in his black threads again.

Anything is better than Iron-Spider.

Q: What do you miss the most about the old Bill Jemas days?
The concept that if a Marvel comic sold within, say, the Top 15 or so, you could get away with charging $2.50 for it.

And Joe Q answers the advert problem by going..."oh, well, that'll happen every Nov. and Dec., and we're too greedy to give a dump if it makes your comics a nightmare. Be warned." I appreciate the honesty, but I always wonder why is he always so happy with a status quo. And why couldn't he say this a year ago? Or 7 months ago? He always waits until something becomes a blaring problem and is directly confronted before he says anything. Like, he won't, say, come up front and schedule a series as a bi-monthly or quarterly. He'll wait until it's, say, a few weeks or months late and go, "oh, yeah, this happened, whoops". And this is a man who prints comics blasting Pres. Bush for basically leading THE EXACT SAME WAY?

Micheal Ryan's RUNAWAYS art looks sweet. But then again, so does Cassaday's on ASTONISHING. The real task will be what Whedon brings to the table Febuary.

Oh, and of course Marvel is going to shamelessly cash in on SPIDER-MAN 3 next year in all their books. But to be fair, DC did the exact same thing with BATMAN BEGINS and SUPERMAN RETURNS. It's something both companies do.

An extra issue of ETERNALS? I won't high-five it unless it is good. The story is dragging a little as it is and I wonder if this extra issue is merely to tie them into something else. But, it's still a good read. Overpriced, but good.

The black costume is Spidey's best, absolutely, but I just hate all this shameless tie-in crap. People who read Spider-Man comics are going to see the damn movie no matter what. Hell, most carbon-based lifeforms are going to see the movie. So stop pulling this ****. :cmad:

Hell, I'm just surprised that they didn't make Spidey's return to the black suit look exactly like the film version.

*sigh* Another event, Marvel seems to think its all Spidey's good for these days. I mean right off the back of Civil War changing Spidey's life forever. Don't wait for sometime to pass Marvel you know see Spidey fighting crime, visit his supporting cast and maybe even fight one of his rogues, no lets just do another event because The Other and HoM worked out so well.

Good point. Might as well assume Sandman is going to be responsible for Alt. Uncle Ben's death too. :whatever:

Isn't it basically a given at this point that MJ and Peter are going to separate?

I've come to the conclusion that I have no ****ing CLUE where Marvel is going with Spider-Man post-Civil War. FNSM is hinting towards Peter staying as a teacher (which sounds impossible), Peter's betraying the Pro-Side, leaving him on the run, and MJ sounds likely for the graveyard, but the Sensational solicit mentions Peter's family...

I must say, I'm very glad to see Sacasa sticking with Sensational. He's probably gone as soon as Loeb and Campbell are ready, but Sensational's been great recently. Yeah, Feral was pretty terrible, but everything since has been gold.

Spider-man:The Other other

Ya, second you think you've got the black spiderman suit figured out more leaks and it gets more confusing.

Only thing I'm wondering now since I'm done guessing why he gets the black costume and just going to enjoy that he is getting it and out of the Iron Spidey suit, is if this is going to be a clone saga part 2. Tony makes clones in CW, CW ends and suddenly tons of Spidermen are going around town killing ppl and Spidey has to stop them, sounds like it to me.
