And then look at Yu's pencils. Just what I love to see when I open an Avengers comic. Ninjas. Because surely they're a challenge to the Avengers. Y'know, they're so good that Daredevil, Wolverine, Jubilee, Spider-Man, Capt. America, Howard the Duck, Willie Lumpkin, haven't all beaten hordes of ninjas solo endlessly, and that ninjas are barely a step above "random goons with their belly-buttons showing" on the totem pole. Surely there aren't any actual supervillians to throw at the Avengers.

Yeah, but these are super ninjas, ones with throwing stars that can somehow disable Iron Man's veritable Swiss Army armor.
I feel stupid for buying the first few issues of that series. Okay, I liked the Sentry arc with McNiven on pencils, and that one gag with Spidey giving Luke Cage webbing boxing gloves was pretty hilarious, but seriously.

This 1940s Marvel project continues to excite me.

Maleev and Yu's art look amazing.Not sure if I'm going to be reading the book though.

Joe Q also admitted, for the first time, that DAREDEVIL: TARGET #2 is dead in the water. Now when will he admit as much for ULTIMATE WOLVERINE VS. HULK #3 (or, gasp, #4)? The book has been pushed back now to the end of December and will at, at least, 10 months late and counting. C'mon now. Move on. Make it official. Don't wait until it's a year late.

There is a big difference between the two titles. Like Daredevil: Target for instance. I think the book is four to five years late or something like that now? And 10 months late for Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk? There's quite a difference there. And at least the book is being pushed back to SOMETHING. Daredevil Target # 2 didn't even get put on the damn MAP.

Thunderbolts sounds great. I like the remaining cast members, and the premise is pretty cool. Deodato is hit or miss, but he seems perfect for the book's tone.

There are, in essence, two components to the Superhuman Registration Act, which is I think what's confusing so many people. The most basic component is Registration: if a person possesses a superhuman ability, they need to register that ability, just as though they were in possession of a firearm. There's a basic training component that goes with this, in the same manner that you wouldn't give somebody a gun license if they didn't display proper responsibility in the handling of a firearm.

The second component of the Act is what I've been calling "licensing": there's no obligation for any person to use his or her power in a super-heroic capacity, but should somebody choose to follow such a path, then they need to be licensed.

I see this as analogous to getting a Private Investigator's license, and involves a greater degree of training, but also potentially gives certain benefits, including a salary if people want to work with S.H.I.E.L.D., tactical support from S.H.I.E.L.D., and so forth. But there's no obligation for anybody to use their powers as superheroes (though some people do fear the possibility of a "back-door draft" compelling all those who are registered into a conflict at some point in the future.)

Well that's all certainly more reasonable and justifiable than what we had thought it was. Too bad that it doesn't even remotely resemble what the comics have actually been showing. It's nice that Brevoort has such a clear idea of what the act is supposed to be like; I just wish that he had told the writers, all of whom seem to have very clashing ideas about just what is in the act and what isn't.
