You've heard wrong.

Also, both Whedon and Singer wanted to use Quicksilver, having nothing to do with each others' movies, and copyright laws allow it.
I'd be less bitter about there being two different versions of the character in the movies and more positive that we're getting not only one but two versions, as opposed to a lot of characters that don't even have one.

Nope. His heritage won't be addressed. QS has a pretty minor role in DOFP from all accounts. He's not even featured on the DOFP poster.

Great job batboy! The touch up to SW did the trick (maybe slightly larger eyes, but that's a nitpick).

Gotta say I'm disappointed in the lack of tact and appreciation from some in here. The effort alone deserves kudos and encouragement. Or at least common courtesy.

Thanks, man.

Yeah, I've noticed not much love for fan art besides manips around here. I mean, the fan art section is pretty much non existant here.

Very good
Thank you!

Yep.

Some people forget Quicksilver was an X-Men before an Avenger. So i don't get why people are complaining here that Quicksilver is in DOFP.

Quicksilver was never an xman was he? He was a part of the brotherhood then he went straight to the avengers

He was a part of X-Factor for a while, if that counts.

Wanda and Pietro have more history and ties to the Avengers than the X-Men.

It doesn't count as being part of X-Men before he was an Avenger.

The original X-Men title was cancelled in the 1960s. He was never a member then. It didn't pick up again until the 1970s. Pietro was an Avenger in the 60s and on reserve in decades following.

X-Factor as a comic didn't even start until the mid 80s.

He had a pretty decently sized part in the Age of Apocalypse storyline alongside with the X-Men, not Avengers.

yeah well, in the world of AoA, it made sense that he would be an X-Man, basically taking on Cyclops' role as a leader under Magneto

I gotta go read AoA Amazing and Astonishing again, I loved those team line-ups

So Quicksilver

in the end credits of CA:TWS doesn't seem to have his bleached hair. It seems to look a normal shade of brown. I wonder if the platinum look will be a side effect of his powers or just a new look he decides to try.

I'm guessing

it's the former.

That scene also got me thinking about the source of the twins' powers. Will it be as result of Hydra experimentation/exposure to Loki's staff? Or will it just be described as natural, but with no mention of mutants? Still not sure exactly what can or cannot be mentioned.

I really, really dug the brief displays of power we got from both characters. Loved how QS was like a rat in a cage while Wanda was all far-off and hazy eyed.

interesting cameo in Cap 2. I guess we'll see what their origins in this version are.

I liked the effect they used. It's very ghost like. Mind you the X-men version has a nice speed effect as well.

Im so psyched for AOU, I cant wait to see this movie. Its gonna be SICK I tells ya.

Seeing how they made Wanda look in the teaser, and knowing that this is Whedon, I feel like we're going to get a big Simon and River Tam vibe from the twins, which I'm perfectly okay with.

You are all right on the corrections. I should have worded it better. They were in the X-Men comics before they were in the Avenger comics is what I meant. They appeared in the X-Men comics first. But my point is the same. It sucks Fox and Marvel Disney can't get along but it is what it is. It's a shame these conversations and debates even need to happen.

But i'm not holding my breath for them to ever get along. My point was...I find it tough to blame Singer for using Quicksilver. And trust me..I'm not a fan of Singer anymore. After cutting Rogue in DOFP..I hope his career goes in the toilet. With QS being in the X-Men comics first, I think Singer had every right to use him. I think Even Peters will portray him fine. He's a great Actor. He will not do anything to ruin the character for anybody who sees both DOFP and AOU. People won't see DOFP and be F Quicksilver forever.

With that said..No doubt most of the QS and Scarlet Witch storylines came from the Avengers comics.

I'd need to see it again but
in TWS, his hair looked like it was a dark silver color.

I felt it looked dark with some silver strands. I don't see why it's such a big deal to people what his hair looked like in it considering it's changed to full silver for AoU.

Can't wait to see how guys like Iron Man and Thor battle it out against the twins!
