Why does Elsa get the most faithful look out of any other character that's ever appeared on the show? :whatever:

Because they're doing something with FROZEN that they've never done before on the series, which is to tell a story that completely dovetails with the exact events of what we saw on the movie screen.

I always forget Lana was on LOST...

Why? My interest just plummeted. . .

I'm fairly sure Digific is somewhat offbase with this one. I highly, highly, highly doubt that the Frozen episodes will be entirely in canon with the films. There will be stuff OUAT cooks up independently of the films' stories and the inevitable sequel will undoubtedly go their own way, likely ignoring all of what OUAT does.

The entire show is pretty much an alternate universe to all the stories featured. I don't see how Frozen will be any different. Hell, I'd be surprised if Emma doesn't reference the movie when she'll first see/meet Elsa.

P.S. My guess is that Elizabeth Mitchell, playing the original Snow Queen, will be the first big bad of the season, with Elsa as her unwilling pawn.

One of the women running the Looking Glass station at the end of S3.

Nothing they've said about it makes this sound like any more of a sequel to Frozen than the beginning of the series was to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. They're taking the story, they're taking the essence of the characters and throwing their own twists in there. It doesn't actually make it canon with the Disney films.

And in spite of JP's comment about how Elsa's dressed, it's not like this is the first time a character on the show has looked almost identical to their Disney version...

The official character descriptions expressly reference the events of the film, and A&E have repeatedly said that the story they're telling with the characters is set after the events of the film.

They're quick to state that nothing they do is going to in any way impede Disney's ability to make an official sequel to the film, but they are treating the film's events as if they did in fact happen.

Gold dress yes. How quickly did that happen though? Everything in the second one is familiar, but certainly more Once Upon A Timey. Different hair. Muted colors, etc.

But that's no different than many of the others. The events of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs happened within the series, the events of Pinocchio happened, we can assume the events of Sleeping Beauty happened, the events of Mulan probably happened as well. Just because the events happened doesn't mean there won't be OUAT's twist thrown in there for good measure.

If it weren't for the fact that A&E have said they're not touching the events of the film or altering them in any way, you might have a point.

Any twists they put on the characters won't be retroactively applied to the events of the film (they've made this clear).

Ehhh... we'll see.

Interview with Sean Maguire (Robin Hood)

It's 15 minutes long, good interview.

From the fan site:
A few of our favorite moments:
[0:55] Sean talks about life in Vancouver with the rest of the OUAT cast
[5:40] On whether Robin Hood should form a support group with Hook and Charming for men in relationships with strong & stubborn women
[7:50] Sean discusses his approach to the character of Robin and his relationships, including the romance with Regina
[9:30] Some of his favorite scenes so far as Robin
[10:50] Which famous archer would Robin Hood go to battle with?
[11:45] Yes, it’s a question about frickle-frackle (!)
[12:50] The Disney movie Sean would like to spend a day in

P.S. My guess is that Elizabeth Mitchell, playing the original Snow Queen, will be the first big bad of the season, with Elsa as her unwilling pawn.

Loving this idea. Something like that would be awesome.

Once Upon a Time Casting Another Frozen Role — Who Should Fill It?
By Matt Webb Mitovich

A fourth character from filmdom’s Frozen will pop up on ABC’s Once Upon a Time this season.

Previously, the fairy tale-infused drama cast Georgina Haig (Fringe), Elizabeth Lail and Scott Michael Foster (Greek) as Queen Elsa, Anna and Kristoff, all in recurring roles. Now, TVLine has learned that in the third episode of Season 4 (premiering Sept. 28), we will also meet the TV series’ take on Anna’s onetime suitor, Hans.

In his mid-20s, Hans is described as “a well-bred prince with a serious chip on his shoulder,” a young man who burns to be king. (Mild spoiler alert for Frozen ahead!) Refined and well-spoken on the outside, Hans has a mean streak a mile wide and will do anything to claim the power and respect he thinks he deserves.

Revisit the scalawag’s photo above, then hit the comments with your casting suggestions.

They are embracing every inch of Frozen which isn't surprising. I wonder how long it will take Belle to learn of Rumple not being honest with her before forgiving him because he is a good man.
