ABC's Once Upon a Time - Part 6

Anybody have any theories as to what Frostine (the Snow Queen)'s connection to Emma is? I'm thinking she might be her adoptive mother (the reason I say this is that we know we're going to be seeing more of Emma's backstory as a child).

Is Meghan Ory off doing another show? I was wondering if they'd bring her back at all.

I absolutely adore Season 4 so far. The Frozen characters are spot on. Also, OUAT is not helping me see Anna/Kristoff as better than Kristoff/Elsa.

If Disney ever wanted 2 do a live action Frozen movie they got most of the characters cast pretty good here I think

Anyone else wanna smack Archie after his big speech to Snow then just walking away without offering to help her with the stroller?

as well as a good story to do for a Frozen sequel.

Yes, very much. Seriously, how dumb are the people in this town? Will someone for the love of god just kill Grumpy, Granny and those other idiots already? They're really getting on my nerves. They've been misled how many times now? And every goddamn time, they fall for it. They NEVER learn from their mistakes. They hear something happened with dark magic? "Oh, it must be Regina. Kill the b*tch!" They hear something happened with ice magic? "Oh, it must be that girl we've never seen before. Let's not do the rational thing and question her first since we've been fooled before, no, let's hunt the b*tch!"

If this goes on a bit longer, I might have to agree with what Snow said previous episode. Dumbest. People. EVER.

Anyway, I'm very intrigued by the "Snow Queen". At first I thought she would be Elsa's real mother, but if she's her aunt, that's fine as well. I wonder what she wants.

But I'm still kinda annoyed by how they just continue the story from Frozen. Seriously, people who haven't seen Frozen are ****ed. Why not just use the same format they used with all the other stories? I liked how they were all connected and how certain characters were part of different stories (Ex: Rumplestiltskin also being the crocodile and the beast). I know Frozen is the new cash cow and I don't mind them using it for OUAT, but they're pretty much just making a sequel to the movie here.

Also, it was nice to see the Knave of Hearts (Will Scarlet) again. And is it safe to assume this is set BEFORE 'Once Upon a Time in Wonderland'? We know he was in Storybrooke at the start of Wonderland and from what I remember (it's been a while since I saw it), at the end of Wonderland he got his happy end with Anastasia (Red Queen), so why would he return to Storybrooke?

Probably because only like 5 people haven't seen frozen.

Well that and its likely 99% of onces audience has likely seen it

Yeah, I'd be willing to be that the number of OUAT fans who haven't seen Frozen already are few and far between.

So? How many people haven't seen Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, etc.? They still told the origins of those stories and mixed it up a little.

The most popular portrayals of those stories came out 77, 23 and 55 years ago, respectively. It hasn't even been a year since Frozen hit theaters. They don't want to do anything that fundamentally conflicts with what the film did when the audience is still as into the movie as ever.

? Itd actually hurt the show to retread ground. Those other stories are much older and had great twists. They didnt want to shake up frozen that much since its still so new

Exactly

Besides what's already been said, they're going ahead and putting their own spin on the Frozen characters with what they're doing in continuing after the film ended, but it won't affect any future film plans that the original filmmakers have planned.

And this is set after Wonderland. We don't know what happened to Anastasia yet to cause him to come back to Storybrooke.

Anybody have any theories as to what Frostine (the Snow Queen)'s connection to Emma is? I'm thinking she might be her adoptive mother (the reason I say this is that we know we're going to be seeing more of Emma's backstory as a child).

This theory could work, only if Snow Queen found an alternate way to our world that would also prevent her from losing her fairytale memories or that she was able to leave Storybrooke without losing her memories like what happens to the other Storybrooke citizens if they leave. Gold/Rumple seems to already know Snow Queen but how well is unknown so Gold/Rumple could have orchestrated certain aspects of Emma's life that would have led her back to Storybrooke, although if that theory were true then that would mean that Gold/Rumple must have always known somehow that Neal was his son & that he had hooked up with Savior Emma & produced Henry but we will have to wait & see how everything plays out.

Rumple was caught in the Curse the same as everyone whose name wasn't Regina, and didn't remember who he was until Emma showed up, so he had nothing whatsoever to do with her arrival in town, her meeting and falling in love with Neal/Bae, or anything else that happened to her after she was sent through the wardrobe.

If so the. She blocked those memories like Elsa's.
Would like that connection

Also read that we will see how th snow queen came to storybrooke. Does she have an actual name?
Hans got what he deserved, am loving Elsa and Kristoff scenes. There banter is great.
Shame we haven't seem Anna with Kristoff scenes yet.

The Snow Queen has not been given an official name, so I'm taking a page from Hilary Busis from Entertainment Weekly's playbook and calling her Frostine.

Question: Before the first half of Once Upon a Time‘s season ends, will we find out who wrote the storybook? —Tom
Ausiello: Actually, no. As cocreator Eddy Kitsis revealed to Matt Mitovich at the New York Comic-Con panel this past weekend, Regina and Henry’s “Operation Mongoose is going to be a rather big story for the year. Whereas we are splitting seasons in half, this is a story that will transcend both halves.”

Question: If Maleficent is heading back to Once Upon a Time, does that mean we’ll see Aurora and Prince Phillip too? —B.D.
Ausiello: Oh, you’ll see Sleeping Beauty well before Maleficent’s midseason encore. When we recently chatted up Sarah Bolger, she was already heading back to shoot her second episode of the season, but we’ll first see Aurora in Episode 7, now “out of her princess gear” in Storybrooke. As for Phillip, Julian Morris is currently busy with New Girl, to be followed by Amazon’s Hand of God, but Bolger trusts, “I’m sure he will be [back],” in some capacity.

Trust me when I say that I am holding the Dark One’s dagger and command you to give us something on Once Upon a Time‘s Rumplestiltskin that isn’t Belle-related! –Christina
Right, as if the dagger would… OK, here you go! During our visit to the Once set this week, Robert Carlyle teased Rumple’s ties to Elizabeth Mitchell’s Snow Queen, saying, “A lot of these magical characters, Rumple has either trained or helped in some way. He hasn’t exactly trained her, but he’s helped her along the way. So there’s deep, deep history there, but it’s a really strange relationship. They’re very, very dangerous to each other [and] both slightly afraid of each other, I think.”

Will Once Upon a Time’s Elsa get out of that blue dress and into new clothes? –Lindsay
I’m betting on no. For one, Georgina Haig was in said costume when we saw her on set. And two, I could imagine Disney having an issue with Once drastically altering the appearance of a current movie franchise character/golden goose.

Rebecca Wisocky — who on Devious Maids steals scenes as acid-tongued lady of leisure Evelyn Powell — is poised to cheat people out of a li’l something on ABC’s Once Upon a Time.

TVLine has learned that Wisocky will appear in this season’s 11th episode as Madam Faustina, a charlatan who, in flashbacks, pretends to commune with spirits in order to swindle her customers by telling them made-up fortunes. Said “seer” exhibits a gentle, compassionate manner, but that is only an act designed to conceal her tough, unscrupulous nature from her marks.

Word has it that Elizabeth Mitchell’s Snow Queen will cross paths with Faustina — buyer (or seller?) beware!

Wisocky’s other TV credits include this past Monday’s episode of Castle (as the head of the top-secret lab), a run on The Mentalist and the first season of American Horror Story.
