No, I haven't studied film actually. :woot:

And no I'm not denying it was there either. What I am saying is it's so easy for shippers to run headlong into these things before they have any idea where it's going.

Oh im aware which is why i made it clesr i wasnt a shipper. There's just quite alot of forshadowing in body language and editing of the shots and the storyline its self

^ with the timing of this one.. something tells me it wont be worked into the show... i imagine they'd be close to done filming by the time she's REALLY showing.

Yeah, I think they've usually wrapped the season by late March or so, so I don't think this will be too much of an issue. Emilie De Ravin will probably need to be addressed, though.

So, uh, wait...

Hook and Emma are both Dark Ones now? Or what?

So since we have 2 dark ones now, I wonder if that will make them weaker in the long run. .

I have to say the actress that played Merida killed it and props for them casting a Scottish actress for the character :awesome:

She's ok I guess, but something about her eyes are off to me. I don't know if it's contacts or what, but they look kind of lifeless.

And to whoever hired the actress playing her mother needs to be shot.

Anyone else a bit disappointed by the "tranformation" of Dark Emma? It's like she uses the sword and then suddenly poof she's got this new look.

It's what happened with Rumple, and Nimue, so I don't see how a new look is a disappointment.

It hasn't happened differently with any other Dark Ones; Hell, Hook didn't even get a new look yet.

Oh I don't hate the look, I just thought there would be more to how it happens.

I hate the look as it isn't extreme enough. Nimue and Rumple got massive changes in looks while Emma just got pale. I liked the first episode of Sunday night but the second one was a bit boring.

I think Emma's look being as subdued as it is is due to her actions and the action that triggered her full transformation into the Dark One. When Rumple became the Dark One, he had already burned a castle down and was prepared to slaughter motherf***ers who were coming for his kid. Nimue killed a guy. The worst thing Emma's done as DO is making a girl break her son's heart, and the thing that really triggered her transformation was saving her BF's life. This whole thing about wreaking havok on Storybrooke has only been a smokescreen to keep her plan of putting all the darkness in Zelena and snuffing it out (which I assume she cooked up awhile after being transformed) a secret.

A more plausible explanation is that Morrison is the lead and they just didn't want to lose her under a s***load of make-up. They could do that with Carlyle because Rumpelstiltskin is a well known fairy tale creature, but I think they were going more glam with Dark Swan.

Is it just me or has Regina's role so far this season has been scaled down a bit? Yeah she'll always be a main character and she's had stuff to do but from what we've seen so far none of the episodes have really put her in the forefront like they normally do.

she's had a fair amount. this story is just focused more on Swan right now

If i remember correctly, Regina is the one character that had the most centric episodes and was in the most flashbacks.
The whole baby story with her, Zelena and Robin should have had more focus...but the balancing simply doesnt work with a half season approach.

This season half is a perfect example of a storyline that should have been a whole season long, 11 episodes for such a story is too little.

We havent seen much of Rumple and Belle, Robin and Regina, Merida, Henry etc.

Personally i love that the focus in this half is on Emma...and Hook, they are my favorite characters...but we have no scenes with Dark Emma and her Parents, Snow and charming scenes in general are very rare at this point.

There was so much more potential in this already awesome storyline, if they would have done it for a full season.
Most of the time i like this approach with having a half season story, it doesnt feel dragged out(the frozen story for example worked perfectly).

i disagree completely... this show would be terrible if it took them 22 episodes of baby drama and swan being dark and taking 22 episodes to tell us how it happened...

the baby drama will continue and get over with next season.. and Regina and Emma will have hell to pay when Hades comes and collects hid debts with Robin and Hook... and they will go into the underworld to return them. Regina will get much focus then.

Well, there's this:

Regina’s been pretty quiet on this season of Once Upon a Time; any scoop on what’s in store for her? –Rachel
Between now and the end of the mid-season finale (airing Dec. 6), expect to lay witness to a new piece of Regina’s of past — and in turn learn that she shares a secret with another major character, one that will reverberate into the present. Also: As if the birth of Zelena’s child hasn’t already drummed up drama, you can be sure the wee one will cause some fireworks between the wicked one and her sis!

That first clip... I'm guessing that [blackout]killing the previous Dark One strengthens the darkness' hold on the current one(s). Emma and Hook are, as far as we know, the only Dark Ones who have gotten the title without having to kill their predecessor.[/blackout]

Hook back on the villain track will be fun. Looks like he his hitting it out of the park from those clips.

looks like Once Upon a Time is losing it's magical spark of being the live action version of the Disney movies, the longer it goes and the more seasons it gets :(
