Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Movie in the Works

DDL looks much more natural and much more like Lincoln to me.

I doubt historical accuracy is what they were going for with this one. This movie is meant to be more fun, not a history lesson.

probably because he is old lol

make up has never imo and never will make a younger guy convincingly look 100% like an older man

making a middle aged man an even older man comes across much easier than a 20 year old made to look in his 50's

i do like that ben has abe's height that ddl does'nt have even tho he will still be amazing

I thought that was the idea though? The idea that all this supernatural stuff could actually work within the actual history of the man?

Then why did you say he looked just like him?

Timur just posted this shot of Dominic in the film:

In connection with the summer release of the 20th Century Fox motion picture Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, renowned director Timur Bekmambetov, in association with Aspen Comics, will be releasing The Art of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter deluxe edition hardcover book. The film, directed by Bekmambetov and produced by him along with Tim Burton and Jim Lemley, will be released domestically on June 22nd.

The Art of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter will contain 128 pages of never-before-seen storyboards, conceptual art, and production illustrations. Bekmambetov discusses the film and the accompanying art book's release:

"Our visual team, led by Bazelevs's storyboard artist Indar Dzhendubaev, created a rich and exciting world for the movie. In revisiting their art, we tried to craft a book that pushes the envelope of visual design and does justice to their great work. I am very happy that fans will finally get to enjoy the expanded world of Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter."

Bekmambetov's production company Bazelevs has teamed up with Aspen MLT, Inc. to produce The Art of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. David Wohl, who is overseeing the project as editor, divulged more about the behind-the-scenes book:

"Timur's attention to detail and vision for the project, combined with the exquisite artwork for the film in the hands of Aspen's designers, has created an "art-of" book that is truly unique and visually spectacular. It's been a pleasure to be part of this one-of-a-kind project."

The Art of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter will be in stores in June.

I finally got around to seeing the trailer with The Raven. That **** was off the wall awesome. I approve of the direction this film is taking.

I've seen the trailer and it looks entertaining to say the least.

Wanted imo is a solid action movie and it looks like the director knows what hes doing with vampire hunter.

Also Seth Grahme Smith looks like a not so tough Tom Hardy.

That's a weird shot. At first, I thought Dominic was floating in mid air and Ben was about to chop him.

Another shot of Ben. I'm loving that they're starting to take out some new pics, but am I the only one who wants some pics of the rest of the cast perhaps? :o

That axe is going to become a classic movie prop. Unless Spielberg's Lincoln uses an axe for some reason.

No, no its not because this movie is going to bomb.

Never heard of this guy, but he's contributing to the film's soundtrack.

Astounding rocker Tyler Bryant was recently tapped to contribute to Jim Lemley and Tim Burton’s long awaited new 3D action/thriller Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. The film, which is directed by Timur Bekmambetov and produced by Tim Burton and Jim Lemley, will be released onJune 22, 2012 by 20th Century Fox.

"There is a profound mixture of attitude and virtuosity in Tyler's playing and we wanted it in the music of ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER...thankfully he said yes!" said producer Jim Lemley.

Bryant displays his impeccable skills as the featured guitarist on the Abraham Lincoln soundtrack, composed by illustrious composer Henry Jackman. Jackman has written scores for numerous blockbusters including X-Men: First Class, and Puss in Boots.

Bryant, along with his band the Shakedown, had a banner year in 2011. Their single “Shackles” was iTunes' Discovery Download during November 2011 and they were featured in the iTunes “Rock on the Rise” section for over 8 weeks. Bryant opened for Jeff Beck’s 2011 tour and has shared the stage with a handful of legends including Eric Clapton, Aerosmith, Paul Simon, Heart, B.B. King, Pat Benatar and Styx. Additionally, Bryant was featured in the award-winning documentary Rock Prophecies and was the first unsigned artist to have a song in Guitar Hero.

In other news, Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown are working with producer Dennis Herring (Modest Mouse, Elvis Costello, The Hives) at Sweet Tea Studios where they are putting the finishing touches on their new album, which comes out later this year on Carved Records.

My old man is dying to see this flick, he said it reminds him of like all those weird pulp horror flicks from the 50s-60's.

You know what the difference between this movie and the Asylum version is?

The Asylum version will manage to turn a profit.

Hahaha very true, it may even be better in general

LOL, yeah. After all... the Asylum Lincoln has the beard full-time.

The other Lincoln is clean shaven and is teh puffy and has organic ax shooters and his hair doesn't have a spit curl and his suit is too dark and he looks like Baraka and...
