Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Movie in the Works

When I went to see the Hunger Games, they new trailer for this was shown. I have never seen a crowd laugh so hard at a trailer.
It was the same reaction for Cowboys & Aliens

New trailer gave more info and kind of set people up for what it was going to be, basically Lincoln fighting the undead. It got the same mixture of applause and laughter and bouts of "we gotta see that, man."

Trailer looks pretty cool and I'm still very mixed on the concept!,A young/pre-president Lincoln kicking ass&fighting vampires!?

I thought the trailer was taking the concept a bit too seriously, which I hope the movie itself doesn't do. You really can't with that type of premise.

well the book is'nt a comedy it mixes history with super natural very well i hear

I don't mind the film taking itself serious since it's based on a novel,IF it was a concept some writer or producer came up with for a film then I'd understand,But it's something that came from a crazy story in a book and basically comic type of stuff that happens to have an ex-president as the star!!!

But of course most of the GA will see it another way,I'm mixed on of cause of who&what Lincoln was,IF it was someone or something that fits like..God him/itself trying to stop the Devil&Demons&Fallen Angels who found a portal into heaven&other dimensions then It'd be accepted more(except by religious nuts)!!!

I can't wait for this film, seems right up my alley. I have a soft-spot for the more absurdist ideas (done right), and this seems like it'll be just that.

Conversely, I have no enthusiam for "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies", even though it's by the same author. Weird... I guess Lincoln wielding an axe to slay vampires just makes sense to the 8 year-old part of my brain?

The things Abe does with that axe are amazing. Especially the last part at the end.

I think audiences really aren't going to be able to take this seriously. I mean, as bad as Cowboys & Aliens turned out to be, it had a good initial trailer that established its serious tone, and people still thought it looked stupid. And that concept (IMO) wasn't even as outlandish as people made it out to be, because Weird West has been a genre for decades.

This, however, is something that I think people really aren't going to get. I think it might have stood a chance if they made it comedic, but my guess is, this will get the same reaction that C&A did, or worse, since this film doesn't have any big name actors in it.

Looks a bit like Liam Neeson there.

My problem is never at point does he even resemble Abraham Lincoln

what did abe look like in his 20's?

we dont know

he looks like abe in the make up when he is older

Is that accurate? I can't really go by an artist rendering in this case. All we ever have of him is photos of his older days. He could have looked like a male supermodel back in the day for all we know.

yeah that pic just looks like someone digitally removed old abe's beard lol

Yeah most of his young photos are artist renditions but this is the one I found.

I think he might look more like Lincoln if he leaned out a bit. He looks a tad too stocky; Lincoln, I believe throughout his life, was always skinny as a rail.

Even when he was young he still looks kinda old lol.

even when you put the fake looking beard on Walker, he looks nothing like Abe.
