Action Sequence of the Year: 2021

The Cuba sequence in No Time to Die was cute and all but in terms of action and spectacle the Matera and Norwegian forest ones were infinitely better, and also some of the best I've seen in years. Out of these, I guess I would pick the sandworm in Dune.

Got to give it to my man Shang-Chi, awesome introduction to a new character.

On a side note, crazy to think a Matrix film came out this year and didnt even move the needle in the action states, madworld.

Maybe I’m biased due to being a huge Godzilla/kaiju nerd for most of my life, but both the fights in Hong Kong at the end of GvK? Absolutely glorious. Some of the best kaiju action I’ve seen ever.
