First Avenger Action Sequences You Would Like to See?

All I really want is a Savings Private Ryan-esque war scene except with Cap and the Invaders with the Allies against the Nazis with some super-soldiers.

I'd also like something along the lines of the first scene in the Ultimates, not necessarily scene for scene but something to show Cap as a BADASS that inspires the soldiers on the field.

hopefully they will have some good battle scenes.

I think it´d be interesting to see a superhero deal with a hiper-realistic, Saving Private Ryan-like, huge, epic war battle.

Cap's style of fighting in a Saving Private Ryan-esque scene would really bring attention to this flick. I think a good war movie vibe would have even the snobby critics giving a Cap movie some love.

I am really excited to see Steve become Cap, the doctor get shot, and then Steve leap into action for the very first time and stop the assassin.
I am really hoping they include some scenes here and there of Steve drawing or doodling. Like maybe he is having some down time during the war, and is sketching in a little note pad.

I'm sure it won't go down exactly like this but if I was running the show we'd see either in the middle of or after the closing credits(assuming that the final scenes have already shown Cap getting frozen and Fury & Stark finding him on ice)......"Captain America will return in THE AVENGERS". And then, the mother of all post-credits bonus scenes as we open on a high-tech medical bay. Fury and Stark watching through some kind of observation area as a team of doctors(maybe even Bruce Banner and Hank Pym) inspect the recently thawed body. Suddenly Cap comes to life, and we have a scene similar to Ultimates Vol. 1, with Cap recovering his shield, kicking the tar out of a dozen or so SHIELD agents and making a daring escape out the window in nothing but a hospital gown. Here's where I'd switch it up from Ultimates as Cap lands on the deck of a large ship. He runs towards the edge, ready to dive into the water to escape but comes to a screeching halt as he looks down over the edge to find himself A FEW THOUSAND FEET ABOVE MANHATTAN on the deck of the SHIELD helicarrier. "Captain Rogers...." we hear Fury say as Cap turns to see Fury, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, etc., and dozens of SHIELD agents "...Welcome to the 21st century."

FADE OUT.

Win!

thought i doubt it'll happen

This is more of an Avengers or Captain America sequel, but I couldn't help but writing posting in in here.

Captain America has already been "awake" for a while.

Captain America and Iron Man are in NYC, at a press junket for the newly formed Avengers team but mostly for Iron Man to show off who was back in business (Captain America). On national TV, a Stark in his Iron Man suit with his face plate up to reveal his actual face informs the world about Captain America and his revival. Mentioning that Captain America is a part of a team that was created for protecting the civilians. Tony doesn't say who is on his team, only Captain America, but he's damn proud who they are and knows they're the best of the best and will go out of their way to protect the world.

He introduces Captain America in full costume, shield and all.

The crowd goes wild.

Then Thor, yes, Thor lands on the platform by Captain America and Iron Man informing them they're needed else where in the city. The crowd goes silent, almost confused as to what he means. Then we hear fire trucks by the dozens fade off into the distance as Thor grabs Cap impatiently and flies off over the crowd. Iron Man taking pursuit close by. in an aerial view we see a burning building as they three get closer Cap asks Thor to drop him off on the building a few down from the burning one. We see Cap run to the burning building, doing amazing ass free running as he runs into the burning building.

Inside Cap finds a boy passed out from the smoke and grabs him, jumping out of a 3rd floor window with the boy pressed tightly against him. The building collapses a few minutes later. Iron Man and Thor help move debris as Captain America helps with fires still smoldering. While hosing the fire down a bit, we see a crowd of thousands around the downed building. Iron Man loving the attention, Thor kind of freaked out by it and Steve used to it, they help the firefighters. As the smoke clears Cap goes around thanking the firefighters for his help and telling the crowd they're the real heroes here and asks for a round of applause for them. Cap, Iron Man and, Thor (still a little freaked out) all taking in the moment. Cap looks around looks at all the news helicopters and the crowd, until he notices something, someone stands out. Steve freezes in terror. Complete. Real. Terror. The person sees that Steve notices him and runs off into an alley way. With Steve taking off after him, leaping over the crowd, jumping on cars, yelling at people to move out of his way. He takes off after the guy. Eventually catching up to him, he tackles the guy. The guy pushes him off with a great force knocking Cap back to a wall and on his ass. Cap looks up as the guy is standing over him.

the mystery guy's face being off screen in the conversation below:

Cap: Please...please tell me this isn't real.
Guy: Who the HELL are you? Why are you following me?
Cap: B-Bucky? Is that you? It has to be you!
Guy: Who the Hell is Bucky?

Camera pans up and we see the Winter Solider.
Roll credits

i could see some of how cap is thawed/escapes from shield men. But i could just see it being stark/fury/x scientist there.

Hey guys, first post here though I gave lurked on these boards for years.

If I recall correctly thr phrase "Rangers lead the way" originated from WWII. I always thought a great Cap scene, comics or film, would be to have him originate it.

Picture Cap and a group of the first Army Rangers landing on Omaha beach and before the door of the boat opens cap looks back at his men and yells "Rangers, lead the way!" before charging out into battle.

I think it would serve 3 purposes. First, it shows caps leadership and how he inspires those around him. Second the fact the Rangers still use this phrase today could be attributed to their reverece for cap. Finally it could serve as sort of a precursor to "Avengers Assemble!"

I know it won't happen, but I think it would make for an awesome and meaningful moment. What do you guys think?

all i ask for is that he shield slam some guy the way Leonidas did in 300 during that one scene where he breaks out and slaughters everyone. At one point he decks some guy with the shield and when i saw that all i could think is "man if they ever make a CA movie he better do that to someone."

All of the scenes are basically what you would expect and have been mentioned already.
I will layout a scene which I think would be "nerd to the max". Enjoy!

Begin Scene

Inside a Nazi submarine

Red Skull: Listen super soldier, I am only giving you one more chance to tell me when the attack on Heirs base is to take place.

Pan to Cap. He is on his knees, blood runs from his chin.

Steve Rogers: Go to hell Nazi skum!

Red Skull disappointed by the answer, starts loading his pistol.

Skull: Maybe a bullet to the brain, would entice you otherwise.

Cap struggles to look up.

Steve: Never

Red Skull puts the pistol to Caps head.

Skull: Any last words, my patriotic friend.

Skull places his finger on the trigger.
Just then the sub shakes furiously knocking the Skull off of his feet.
He scrambles to get back up.
Skull speaks in German as he exits the room, he is wondering what is going on.

Nazi Soldier: It is whales, mein fuhrer.

Red Skull: What?

Skull stares out a porthole, and see hundreds of whales ramming the side.
In the shadow of the ocean he sees the silhouette of a man.
It is Namor.

Red Skull grabs a radio.

Skull: Take us to the surface.

The submarine surfaces and soldiers exit from below.
Dozens of Nazi's stand on the deck, shooting at the water.
Suddenly the whales stop.
The Nazi soldiers confused look around at one another.
One soldier notices something in the sky.

Nazi Soldier: Heiliger Scheißdreck!

Two red blazes come racing toward the ship.
Nazi soldiers scurry thinking two bombs are coming for the ship. Some of them abandon the sub.
The two bombs stop in mid-air.
The Human Torch and Toro.

Red Skull comes to the deck.

Skull: (to soldier) What is going on out here?

Just then he notices Human Torch, Toro and Namor taking care of the Nazi's.
The soldier stares straight ahead, in complete shock with what is happening.

Skull: (yells) What is going on soldier?

At the other end of the ship Cap appears.

Steve: The end of you reign fuhrer.

Cap tosses his shield. Red Skull ducks as the shield ricochets off of the soldier standing there.
Skull retreats below deck.
Cap and the Invaders finish off the crew.
As the sub starts submerging quickly,
a ship approaches with Bucky on board.
The Skull escapes again.

End scene

I didn't really use all the details I could have, but you get the basic concept.
Can't wait to see Cap and the Invaders on screen. It's every geeks wet dream.:hehe:

I want to see Cap's shield withstanding tankfire.

I wouldn't mind seeing that. It might be a little over the top to some people though.
It would establish first hand how powerful the shield is. Vibranium absorbs energy and all. I'm sure the impact would make a unique sound, sorta like the sword in Crouching Tiger.

I want to see Cap remove his mask in some scene so we can get something like this:

I know it's standard fan practice to hate mask removing in a super hero film but damn would a scene like that look badass.

i wanna see Cap kick ass and shoot Nazis in the face with a Tommy Gun. see im easily pleased. lol. but you guys have already listed a bunch of cool stuff. one thing i wonder about is how do they freeze Cap? do they stick with the block of ice like the comics or do they find a way to cryogenically freeze him?

I would imagine a Ultimate Avengers version, with him sinking into the ocean. Ending the film with Cap sacrificing himself to save D.C would be amazing.

yea i too wonder how they will play with the freezing thing. i see it probably being forzen and lost saving the day thing. over cryo freezing.

I'd like to see scenes where he really utilizes his shield into his fighting. A lot of ricocheting of the shield off people and things. And have him fight highly skilled fighters that he quickly makes short work of to emphasize how BADASS Captain America really is.

I see the freezing thing happening on land in snow instead of water it just makes more sense First things dont really freeze like that under water. Second he would drown. And third he would definently be eaten. Also a plane carrying a rocket would make more sense. And I could see a bad ass battle taking place there

I think those are some good suggestions. I like the idea of it taking place on a plane. I always love final battles on planes.
