Overlooked action sequences....

We've all seen the classic action scenes. Post the action scenes you think are underrated and not noticed by most. Just to clarify, the bank shootout in Heat and the opening scene in Saving Private Ryan are well knowns. Those do not count.

Ill start: I love the scene in the first Terminator where Reese and the terminator are having a shotgun battle during a car chase. I still havent seen a sequence like that since.

Speed: the first action sequence with the elevator hostages and the final sequence on the subway train.

Most people only remember/consider the action sequences on the bus because it makes up most of the movie, when I consider the first and third acts of the film to be even better.

2005's War of the Worlds Craft reveal/first chase takes the cake!!! Those scenes were awesome, intense, and even a little scary. If the entire film was like this the film would've been AMAZING.

The attack parts were very disturbing. When Cruise comes home and he has the skin on his jacket and its all over him!

i'll contribute the car chase from Ronin and the horse chase from Mask of Zorro. other worthy mentions include any action scenes from Hidalgo and Shanghai Noon.

And in the same vein, the set piece in T3 involving Arnold on the crane knocking over an ambulance as well as being bashed through a load of buidings.

People tend to just gloss over that one.

I agree, the FX in that movie had a nice sense of weight to them. You really bought into the idea that Arnie was a machine being beaten up and thrown around...

Although, I'd say the film as a whole is vastly underated.

The finale shootout in Mr and Mrs Smith.

The apartment building shootout and escape in LFODH

Horse vs Bike chase in True Lies.

Jetpack chase in Minority Report.

The village battle in Predator.

Rambo picking off the Vietcong in the jungle after he escapes in First Blood Pt.2.
