Actors Who Inexplicably Disappeared

I looked up JGL's wife and immediately said, Yup that makes sense. Not even the tumblr crowd could've gotten a better match for JGL. lawd.

Tis' the reason i've seen all his films in theaters, bald man. And I've sat through some of his stinkers.

I'll have you know I have a full thick head of hair, many people have said it.

Hollywood just uses you and then chews you off without any real warning or by bad choices. I always thought Eric Bana was going to go the Bale route when it comes to prestige type flicks or Eckhart was going to be working with more prestige type directors. Eh.

Aaron Eckhart and Stephen Lang didn't really get any boost off of The Dark Knight or Avatar.

Eckhart was even better in 'Thank You for Smoking' than he was in DK imo, but still mostly just meh projects after them flicks.

He finally got out of the "[INSERT CODE NAME HERE] Has Fallen" franchise, only to have a totally superfluous side role in Emmerich's latest display of his hackery, Midway.

Guy Pearce is also one of them actors who I feel deserves better flicks, but he just seems cool with showing up here or there. I like his screen presence a lot more than I do Damon or Bale. Eh.

Along with James McAvoy, he's one of those actors where I see him and I always think to myself, 'Man he seems really desperate for an Oscar...'

I like McAvoy a lot, but I don’t know that I’ll ever forgive him for Wanted.

Fun fact, McAvoy was supposed to be in 50/50 but dropped out last minute for some reason and JGL jumped in.

Personally that feels more like a JGL character anyway.

Wow really? Never heard that before. But yeah; that role just suits JGL more, I think.

He mentioned missing out on it in one interview. Apparently he'd actually filmed a week of it, then dropped out really suddenly for some kind of family issue that he refused to talk about.

Another time JGL replaced someone else last minute....James Franco in Inception.

Ah yeah, I forgot about that. That’s it! We figured it out. More actors need to drop out of high profile roles so directors will cast JGL in those parts.

"Sir, Krasinski just called, he said he can't make it, scheduling conflict."

"Damn it.....get me Joseph Gordon-Levitt!"

He was apparently also the runner-up for Ant-Man. Honestly I think Paul Rudd is perfect for Ant-Man and maybe better for that role than JGL would have been, but he wouldn't be being discussed in this thread right now if he'd landed a recurring MCU role like that.

Didn’t he also turn down a role in another superhero film at some point? I don’t remember what it was but I recall rumors that WB or Marvel was trying to woo him for some role and he turned them down.

He was in the mix for Star-Lord too.

As much as I love JGL he would not have made a good Ant-Man. He's not old enough. He would have made a far better Star Lord than Pratt though, IMO.
