I don't really see JGL as Quill either.
Considering Alice in Wolderland is one of the highest grossing films of all time, that's probably not the reason.
He did a few indies. I think he just wanted to chill after HIMYMLast night I was watching Forgetting Sarah Marshall and wondered what the hell happened with Jason Segel? Haven’t seen him in anything in years
But then earlier today I saw a commercial on AMC for a new series set to debut next year that Jason Segel will star in. So it’s cool to see him again. Still though, wonder what he has been up to since How I Met Your Mother ended
She's in the new Mia Hansen-Love film with Tim Roth, which I hope comes out this year. It's been a while since I saw Mia Wasikowska in anything. She seemed like quite the up and comer. I wonder if those lackluster Alice in Wonderland films hurt her career.
I'd still like to see JGL for Reed Richards. I think he was considered for Star-Lord as well"Sir, Krasinski just called, he said he can't make it, scheduling conflict."
"Damn it.....get me Joseph Gordon-Levitt!"
He was apparently also the runner-up for Ant-Man. Honestly I think Paul Rudd is perfect for Ant-Man and maybe better for that role than JGL would have been, but he wouldn't be being discussed in this thread right now if he'd landed a recurring MCU role like that.

Levitt is probably the most successful child actor of the 90s....Hmmm....Maybe Gosling.
Charlie Hunnam deserves a razzie for everything he's in. Dude's awful.Maybe it was Crimson Peak that hurt her? That movie was such a waste of time. Charlie Hunnam should have gotten a Razzie for his role in that movie.
