Well...given the recent success of marvel film, and interconnecting them...

Will WB force nolan to add superman and co. in the 3rd film? To kickoff the justice league film? Even if Nolan don't like that idea?

If so, is there any way for the fans to help nolan in ensuring his vision gets made, and not the WB vision...

If they do that I swear to god I will never watch another WB movie again, and if they do it, don't count with Nolan in the director's chair

WB wont do that, imo. They are taking their properties very seriously now, including Superman.

I just hope they know a Justice League movie would be terrible for artistic intent, and great for mindless action. If they ever do one, It needs to be completely separate from the movies so I can ignore it.

Justice League and Avengers sounds like some badly conceived comic gimmick imo.

I hope not. Honestly, I can't really imagine Superman even existing in the Nolan Batverse. Hopefully the success of Nolan's movies'll help WB not to mess with it.

The only hint of the Superman world I'd even consider not hating would be a throwaway line like, "Why can't this kind of stuff ever happen in Metropolis?" or something.

No chance of that. Nolan practically can say 'jump' and WB will be the ones who ask 'how high?'.

If Nolan was told to do JLA/World's Finest, he would do it in his own style and keep it subtle. Like a simple Clark Kent/Bruce Wayne meeting to set it up in BB3. That's it...

Well, If Nolan has to do something like that, I guarantee he won't direct it. God, that's almost treading on Batman and Robin grounds... "This is why Superman works alone"

MAYBE... Clark Kent and Bruce meeting up for one reason or another, at the least. But I still hate the idea, it seems like a cheap way to make some money from younger kids. Basically, they're throwing darkness and compelling storylines out the window, and having a group of heroes fight stuff.

Agree ^ Supes and co are almost impossible in Nolan's universe, they are too "unrealistic" for the movies, if we had Supes then we could also get Man Bat, Killer Croc and the rest of the gang

Oh shut up all of you with this superman and co are not realistic!
Batman isn't very real too you know

Only way I see Superman working is if it's in a Miller-esque "mocking" style. As in the "fake Batmen," with a fake Superman.

Of course, none of this will happen period.

I also think a JLA movie would bomb...too many personalities. The heroes should stay in their own separate movie universes. I see Marvel and DC taking opposite approaches to their movies.

Marvel has their "popcorn niche" carved out, every Marvel movie has a certain "comic book look" to it (look at Spiderman, Iron Man and Incredible Hulk...they all look similar in terms of CGI and camerawork), while WB seems to take their properties more along the "legitimate film" approach. I like WB's approach better.

I don't see why everyone's against this. It could easily be done and fit into the Nolanverse, just so long as it's not handled sloppily.

Quit trying to bring in lame Superman...

CLOSE

So the graphic novel "The Dark Knight Returns" is lame? What did I miss? What's so horrible about adapting the last bit of that for the next Batman movie? It would fit.

Hell...F**king...NO.

*walks out*

No. It wouldn't make sense. Where was Superman when all Gotham was going to Hell after the Arkham breakout in Begins? Where was Superman when The Joker was going anti-christ on Gotham? Seriously, Batman dealt with two huge threats in these two films that Superman could not have ignored if he exsisted in Nolan's bat-universe, which, thank God, he never will. And Bale already said he would never do a JLU movie, so why would they set one up in BB3?

I like Superman and he should be having his own movies not connected to a Batman movie.

This idea should never ever ever ever *continues* happen. I would most likely cry. Seriously. On the inside.

I thought Bale said he would do it, as long as it was after Nolan was done?

I'd like to see a World's Finest movie as the fourth film in both franchises.

There really is no need to bring Superman into the Batman franchise or Batman into the Superman franchise. What needs to be done is make it its own stand alone movie where the two heroes meet.

A "World's Finest" movie. Or simply "Batman vs Superman."

Its own stand alone movie spectacular. And it would be a huge hit, no question. Everybody will go to the theater for that one.

I think teams and team-ups are pretty stupid. There should never be a JL movie.

That's why the feds would bring Superman in to help catch Batman, since he's now a cop killer. Oh, and didn't Superman just get finished saving the world from Lex Luthor, or visiting his home planet or something? It doesn't matter where he's been. Just that he's been taking care of bigger problems.

There should be both a "Worlds Finest" movie and a "JL" movie...

but neither of them should have ANYTHING to do with Nolan's Bat-films.

I really don't want to see Superman in these movies but I wouldn't mind a mention of him, LexCorps or Met. To be honest I think it would have been cool to see Lois at Harvey Dent's press conference.

One thing that I would really love to see is maybe having The Penguin, portrayed more like Marvels Kingpin, in the next movie running in the same circles as Lex.

Please, if anyone BOTHERED to read my OP, you will notice that I am against the idea of WB going to marvel movies route.

I am concerned that WB may follow marvel by influencing nolan into merging the universe together.
