Kane said:From Kal-El.org:
"MovieTickets.com said Friday that it was selling three times more tickets to "Superman Returns" five days before its opening than it did for "X-Men: The Last Stand" at the same point in that movie's sales cycle. And Fandango said Friday that 25% of all tickets it was selling that day and the day before were for "Superman Returns."

Doesn't matter to me. I take it on a per movie basis. All I'm looking for is a good movie.explode7 said:You better pray it does or else goodbye sequel.![]()

But "Superman Returns" has much working in its favor too. The DC Comics franchise is considered one of the most notable ever. Initial findings from online ticket brokers Fandango and MovieTickets.com late last week showed strong advance sales.
Fandango says at that point in the cycle, "Superman Returns" was capturing seven times the business of "Cars," 1.5 times that of "Da Vinci Code," twice that of "X-Men: The Last Stand" and five times more than "Batman Begins."
Darkseid is the character who can single-handly fight Superman toe-to-toe, strength-to-strength, an evenly matched foe. Doomsday is the villain who did what no other villain could do, kill Superman. It would only be wise to save the most powerful Super-villain last, this is why Darkseid should be in the sequel, follow it up and end it with an even more powerful villain in the third. With the thinking of a TRILOGY in mind.explode7 said:No I'd rather see darkseid in the third film.
Yeah, that and he's now Superman for life, very much like Christopher Reeve was. Unless he's gonna take crappy parts in movies like Reeve did, that no one cared or know about. Or perhaps he'll do silly movies with Hilary Duff, like Welling, lol. His career from here on out is Superman, he's got no choice in the matter.Kane said:I think this franchaise will be profitable enough to go beyond a trilogy. The great thing about Routh is he seems like the type of humble guy who would be excited to keep doing this till hes old.
What's with this silly comparisons? Regardless of who makes more, either franchise will not kill the other in regards to future films, so why bother focusing and stressing over it? I plan to see and enjoy both films this summer. I suggest you do the same.Sorry dudes but POTC2 is gonna knock SR out of the sky. Did anyone see the premier on E!? Disneyland went freaking nuts
