After 10 months my 360 is dead!!!

i have to send my 360 to get repaired now as well. i was playing doa4 on live then the game suddenly froze-which happens alot on that game when there's a bad speed. so i cuts my game back on and the damn thing kept saying reading,open tray,reading,etc. so now i have to get that shyte repaired.

I finally got the red lights of death Couple of days after Christmas Good news is that I still had my warranty from K-mart! Went to K-mart to get it replaced and they told me I had to call a 1800 number! Called and they said they will send a box for you to put your xbox in. Apparntly K-mart repairs Xbox 360 now I also called MS and there sending a box as well. Made a topic on the xbox fourms and both MS/K-mart got mixed reviews when it comes to reparing 360's! Some said there still waiting for a box to come? Another one said there still waiting for there 360 to come back? So either way im ****ed!!!

Your being cursed for not buying a Wii or PS3.

My 360 red ringed on me last week! My friend is now on his 3rd console, and he's already arranging a funeral for mine.

He's advised me to report it....what actually happens from here on though?

You need to call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and they will send you a box. You will pack up the console minus wires or hard drive and ship it either to Texas or Canada. They'll either send you a replacement or a refurbished unit. Shouldn't take very long.

I just got a 360 last month, but I recently bought a fan adapter to prevent it from over-heating. You think that'll help at all?

I've heard that they may be causing some of the over heating due to how it sits on the console.

Really? There are several folks from Louisiana on here. I can't think of any names right off the top of my head, but there's alot more then I thought. That's crazy about the 360, but I believe it. That power supply runs so hot it's not funny. You still in LA?

I'm sorry to hear that man. We didn't get much more then some wind and rain. I'm not sure if you've ever heard of it, but I work at Zeagler's Music. There's two in Baton Rouge, and we used to have one in Metarie. As far as my 360, since it's been repaired, it's much quieter.

Yeah we had a Zeagler's in Slidell. Great store, my brother josh used to work there. I'm not sure if it's still there though.

This is a good place for it. For the most part, this is a wonderful board. The people are nice, and is there any better thing to post about then comics, comic movies, tv shows, and a little bit of everything else. Honestly, I get alot of my news off this site.
