Agatha Agatha All Along on Disney+

I *still* have no idea why they would do a whole series with this particular character given how many others there are in the MCU to play with.

That being said, the Halloween-esque horror/comedy vibes is a welcome improvement.
Its obviously a spin off to WandaVision, the first of their many MCU shows. And that Disney+ needed original content, and it was greenlit when Disney+ was ordering a bunch of shows.

If they knew what would happen last year, I doubt this would have been made.

This whole time I’ve been thinking this character doesn’t need a show; this whole thing is unnecessary; they’re making too many unneeded shows just to get subscribers etc etc… but this actually looks really fun. Definitely the most intrigued I’ve been of a Marvel Disney+ show in a while. Hope they’re able to deliver a good show.

liked the first trailer more. looks like a fun Halloween show. Hope it‘ll be a bit scary

That was a blast tbh. Kathryn Hahn seems to be having a ball and Debra Jo Rupp bopping up and down is a mood. I've seen some videos of other angles and Aubrey Plaza is either doing her usual deadpan thing or she did not get paid enough to be here. This particular video mostly edits around her. It's fading to the next shot every time we get near her except at the end. :tearsofjoy:

Even Wiccan can't say his own name. That admittedly got a chuckle out of me though.

I still find this series unnecessary and very MCU-adjacent, but good for her landing this project.

I mean yes, it was green lit in the now fever dream days of lockdown for many and Wandavision becoming a sensation before the glut of content hit. I mean in early 2021 Randall Park had a legitimate shot at getting a Jimmy spin off.

That said Hahn's screen presence is definitely one of the reasons that this looks like it has a shot at being good despite the almost 4 year wait and everything else that has gone down in the MCU and Disney since then. She does deserve accolades for that, especially considering the tentpole stuff that hasn't stuck since then.

It was greenlit when Disney+ was still new and they needed plenty of original content to attract subscribers and possibly compete with Netflix. And of course we now know the ramifications of the outburst of MCU content from 2021 to 2023....
