No. Actually he won't. Spiderman doesn't have any real leadership qualities, and I can't even picture a time in the comics when he lead the Avengers. Of the new Avengers to be introduced in phase 3, Captain Marvel would be a much better candidate to lead the team.

I don't think he'll necessarily end up leading the team, but I do think that he has a chance of becoming the new face (or one of the new big faces) of the Marvel heroes post Infinity War.

In terms of how Disney will anchor those next three phases if the original actors walk away, I think it's highly possible.

The way I see it, the new/characters of Phase 3 will be the main thrust along with Spidey, while Marvel and Disney figures out the recasting of the original actors...if they walk.

This is why I say Spidey anchors the new era of the MCU. I wasn't really talking character per se. I'd rather it be Spidey than Panther or Strange.

I think that's one of the main reasons why Marvel/Sony are looking real young for Peter Parker. It would be a way to have an actor in there for a long, long time.

I might be in the minority but this vision hammer thing sounds cool. Complaining about it being stupid is kind of ridiculous with the whole context. It sounds like Vision might be channeling an infinity Stone and brought to life by Thor. If true it makes sense that he'd be as powerful. And since he's always been pure "hearted" the hammer is sensical too
