I'm relatively indifferent to it being the final season. If it is the final season, I'd like them to do an all out push to get either Downey or Evans onto the show for a guest appearance just to tie things up nicely.

I feel like it's time to end, the timing with the MCU on the verge of ending it's first arc, and the show has run it's course. 5 seasons is a good run and I'd rather AoS ends with a high note and for story reasons than peter out and get canceled without a conclusion. Like Agent Carter.

I'd like something "And the adventure continues" type of ending. Something that leaves us with a sense of closure but still has the door open for characters to return as cameos or characters in the films, other series, or their own limited series. I always wanted Shield to become a top secret organization that doesn't end up in the news, explaining their lack of mention in the MCU. I don't feel like we need huge guest stars but I would like to see Sam Jackson back since Fury had always been so integral to Shield lore.

My girlfriend herself would like to see SHIELD continue to be a secret group but have it at the end, Coulson leaves SHIELD and is now living in a tropical location with Melinda May, with them now a couple and I have to say that'd be a nice way to end the show if done.

Well May certainly couldn't. AIDA tried to have May go to spas at first at the beginning of the framework story, but she always realised she was in a fantasy. So she had to put her in a fighting situation. I don't know that Coulson could retire to a sedentary lifestyle either.

The new trailer makes Season 5 look phenomenal. This show just gets better and better; I can't wait for what looks like Agents of SHIELD Does Guardians of the Galaxy.

I hope Groot will make a cameo appearance at some point!
