I like Adrianne, but as Mockingbird? She's going to dwarf Hawkeye if the two ever interact or get together in this MCU continuity. I'm guessing they're never going to do that. She would tower over Jeremy Renner. I think she could easily have played someone like Valkyrie as she's now going to be one of the tallest, if not the tallest actress in the MCU.

They use a lot of camera tricks/platforms/etc to make RDJ look like he's Gwyneth Paltrow's height (he's actually quite a bit shorter than her), and they do that a lot in Tom Cruise-led movies. So I see no reason why they cannot do the same in this case.

I looked up their heights, and Renner's listed at 5'10 while Palicki's 5'11. Now, maybe the "official listing" docked Palicki's height by an inch because of the whole "guy can't play a role across a girl he's shorter than" stigma, and Renner's height got upped a couple of inches, but I don't see an issue at all.

Even if they go all "old fashioned" with that trope, you could put her in flats and give him lifts for their scenes together and the heights would be somewhat even... or close enough for it not to matter.

I've always been a Palicki proponent. I wanted her as Gamora before we got Saldana, but Mocking bird suits her just fine.

I like the 2nd costume with her legs out. I'd be okay with the 1st costume though. But I just hope we don't get some very generic black jumpsuit or even just a SHIELD suit like Melinda May wears.

If you're only familiar with Palicki from her movies (which, honestly, weren't that bad… they're shallow and fun entertainment for a couple of hours), you should give Friday Night Lights (the TV show) a shot. She is insanely, utterly, amazing as Tyra Collette. Basically that role is why I follow her career, hoping for her to got a really big break. Ditto Taylor Kitsch.

I really need a Renner/Palicki scene sooner rather than later… height differences aside.

I would love for more FNL actors, as well as more WIRE actors, to come to the MCU.

On a slightly different matter, do we want Mockingbird with her hair down and loose, or with the pony tail that she often had when she had her bare legs?

Of course, we could always have both, but I actually preferred her with her hair down in the comics.

Palicki is a great addition, she has been in some bad movies, but she was never the reason they were bad, far from it. She is stunning and a good actress, this shows hot factor in terms of women just went up, Adrianne and Chloe on the same screen, wow! Not to mention Elizabeth and Ming!

The sleeves were to hide her battle staves. I don't see a problem with them and they were an iconic part of her look.

The heeled boots are just some artists' depiction of her. It's a minor thing and easy to change for live action, and barely makes any difference if changed.

In all honesty, Adrianne's build looks more like a swimmer's than a gymnast's.

I have to say that the casting for the 2nd season is much better than the 1st. We're getting the likes of Kyle Maclachlan, Lucy Lawless, Henry Simmons and now Adrianne Palicki.
