So now, the rest of the team are officially Comic book characters.

Do you guys suspect we'll see some season 2 casting at comic-con?

hopefully someone like Skye's father Blue or a recurring character similar to Deathlok

Pretty stupid not to do reruns but last I checked the whole season was still in the ABC OnDemand feature for my cable company

War Machine was off flying to Asia during The Avengers movie, but the good news is that Don Cheadle will be a part of The Avengers 2.
It's not known just how big of a role James Rhodes will play, but when it comes to battling Ultron, War Machine will be a big part of it.
In the latest issue of Total Film magazine, the following was mentioned in regards to "familiar faces," which also saw confirmation of no Tom Hiddleston as Loki:
Cobie Smulders is set to reprise her role as Maria Hill...

Also making his Avengers debut is James Rhodes (Don Cheadle) - better known as War Machine - who apparently has a "key role" in the battle with Ultron.

No cameo for [The Avengers] big bad loki, though..."I don't think there's anything else Loki could contribute narratively," admits actor Tom Hiddleston. "I think keeping it fresh and new is good for The Avengers, even though it's a shame for me.
It's also stated Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson) will be missing from the movie as the Avengers still believe Coulson to have been killed by Loki. Then it is stated to expect Coulson's story to be played out in The Avengers 3.
"The Avengers: Age Of Ultron" hits May 1, 2015 directed by Joss Whedon starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver, Paul Bettany as Vision, with James Spader as Ultron.

Hmm with Maria Hill in it, how can they not know about new SHIELD? Interesting that Avengers 3 is prominently mentioned though

Seems really silly to spend 4-5 years worth of Agents of SHIELD episodes with Coulson still lamenting the Avengers believing him to be dead. I hope this isn't true and gets resolved soon.

I agree...Hope its mentioned briefly in AOU
Its a bad thing that Now Director Coulson hasnt been mentioned in around the rumor mill at Stark Industries
Or Natasha not digging into it also......
Even Clint (Who by the way in the first movie...didnt hardly or at all have screen time with.....he was the only Avenger)...maybe hes found out.....

Somebody knows....and they better make mention of it.

They must have some sort of crossovers planned if Coulson is gonna be in The Avengers 3

Probably just "oh man, Thanos has rocked up. We need everyone!" and then Phil arrives

I hope they're all lying and Coulson has a big role in AoU, because otherwise it'd be a huge waste. Can there really be a worth while emotional scene in A3, set years later, after fighting aliens and robots, saving the world, where any of the Avengers will give a crap? Sure they'll be happy he's alive, but they've all moved on and built stronger relationships with other people by then. If anything, there'd probably be a "Dude WTF?" moment followed by anger and distrust.

Can you imagine if Uncle Owen showed up in Return of the Jedi?... "Who? Oh right, my Uncle Owen...uh, hey."

Yeah, I think they'll be missing a trick by leaving the reveal until Avengers 3.... Though I could see it being part of the after credit sequence...

Maybe they plan on having Coulson single handily defeat Thanos Garret style in The Avengers 3 ? Hes about to kill an Avenger & then Coulson walks up with a big ass gun & shoots him

got this in the mail right before the weekend

Those look ****ing sweet....

If the avengers don't know about Coulson until A3, something more is in store for him that requires him to remain a secret. I think this gives a lot more credit to the theory he is captain mar-vell.

I'm disappointed at the lack of cross-overs - until recently they were still filming GoTG and AoU is still being filmed. But with no resolution to the Coulson story and the AoS writers just starting work on season 2 I feel the show runners have ignored two glorious opportunities for crossovers. SUCKS
