IMDB lists his name as Fitzgibbon. However, given his location and American accent, I probably wouldn't necessarily assume he's related even if he did have the same name.

Fitzgibbon? Is that the collective name for Fitz and his helper monkey? :rimshot:

I am pretty sure all of SHIELD info was released by the time Skye erased their existence as request by Coulson

I've gone over this before (if you'd like, I'll dig up my timeline of events to explain things in more detail), but the timeline really only makes sense if the "Out of the Shadows" signal was sent out and attempts to take over SHIELD facilities occurred at the time HYDRA was trying to kill Nick Fury (or, more accurately, just after they believed they succeeded). Otherwise, it would require Coulson's team to be chilling in Florida for several days while Nick Fury dies and a Hellicarrier crashes in Washington DC without them knowing about it.

Even if you disagree with my timeline, the releasing of the files happens almost simultaneously with the fall of the Triskellion. Given that whoever answered Nick Fury's phone was decidedly unconcerned with a falling Hellicarrier, it seems likely that the flight over the Atlantic Ocean to the Hub occurs before the SHIELD files were released.

Besides, two questions. One, why else do you think they deleted their personal information? It wasn't to make it easier to hide. After all, Skye was still able to release Ward's information when needed and people like Talbot still know who Coulson is. Second, wouldn't it make more sense to try and pick the obvious solution to what you think is a plothole that neatly explains it rather than try and rationalize away the explanation to keep the plothole?

So seeing as the blue dude is obviously a tie-in to Guardians...

could he be another ravager sent by Quill's father to pick him up? Just one that failed or got shot down?

Or at a canon-busting long shot, his father?

The blue dude is a Kree... There's no reason he'd be tied to the Ravagers, the Kree are a huge race.

The blue dude is a Kree... There's no reason he'd be tied to the Ravagers, the Kree are a huge race.

Might be because of Peter's father after all in the comic his ship was damaged and he ended up staying with Pete's mum whilst he fixed it so nothing says he wasn't responsible for killing that Kree whose remains was found by SHIELD?

Yeah.... Or maybe he's Ronan's twin brother... Or Nebula's son?

That's the logic you're applying :P You're basically profiling based on appearance... Pretty sure that makes you a space racist.

The hashtag is #ItsAllConnected though, not #TheseAreASeriesOfUnconnectedEvents

Well since you just said in the Guardians thread that you're only 'trolling' with this line of questioning, I'm not gonna bother anymore :P

The hashtag is #ItsAllConnected though, not #TheseAreASeriesOfUnconnectedEvents

The hashtag was referring to individual episodes of Agents of SHIELD, not to all of the Marvel universe. Although the whole Marvel universe is connected - Guardians is connected through Thanos.

Despite that, the tagline still rings true to everything within the MCU, SHIELD included.

'Agents of SHIELD's' Chloe Bennet: Skye will be tougher and bangs-ier in Season 2

By Chris Eggertsen | Wednesday, Aug 6, 2014 8:41 PM

How will "Agents of SHIELD" Season 2 be different from Season 1?
"It's hairier," said cast member Chloe Bennet (a.k.a. computer hacker Skye) while promoting the film at San Diego Comic-Con.
And by "hairier" she means literally hairier: not only will Skye have bangs in Season 2, but Brett Dalton's Grant Ward will boast a full beard in his newly-evil incarnation.
Of course, along with her changing follicular situation Skye will also be a bit rougher around the edges this season - a result of the chaotic events that transpired during the show's first go-round.
"I think she's toughened up a little bit," Bennet explained. "She's been training with [Ming-Na Wen's Melinda] May...I think there's a whole new side of Skye coming out."
So how does she explain the fans' increased fondness for Skye over the course of Season 1? Watch the full interview with Bennet and Dalton in the video above.
"Agents of SHIELD" Season 2 premieres Tuesday, September 23 on ABC.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (ABC)
Premieres:
Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 9/8c

Where We Left Off: With the help of Nick Fury, Agent Coulson was able to take out John Garrett before being named the new director of S.H.I.E.L.D. — though he totally is going crazy as we saw him mindlessly carving the mysterious alien equation on the wall. Meanwhile, Fitz and Simmons were rescued from the middle of the ocean, Melinda May kicked Ward's butt before taking him into custody, and we got our first glimpse of Skye's father, who had been burned and is apparently dripping blood — and is working with Raina!
What's Next: Rebuilding S.H.I.E.L.D. won't be easy, which is why Director Coulson will turn to some new faces for help, including S.H.I.E.L.D. vet Isabel Hartley (Lucy Lawless) and assassin Lance Hunter (Nick Blood), as well as the as-yet uncast Barbara Morse. But Hydra is still very much alive, with Reed Diamond taking on the villainous role of Hydra baddie Daniel Whitehall, otherwise known as Kraken. But the baddies won't be the only trouble the group is facing this year. "As director, [Coulson wilil] be faced with some tough decisions, harder decisions than he had to make as an agent," executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen says. "We'll see the emotional consequences of that and we'll see the shifts in dynamics between the characters because of that."

Exactly. I think there's a very good chance that we'll see the blue alien ties into Quill somehow, even if it is a *wink wink* these happened at the same time so imply the link sort of thing

A source tells io9 that the premiere will see the return of Adrian Pasdar's Glenn Talbot, and that the second episode will guest star Kyle MacLachlan as "The Doctor."

"A" doctor or "The" Doctor? Tardis reference aside, I don't think Doctor Who exists in the MCU. Is there a Marvel character called "The Doctor"? Of course, at this point a bunch of the characters could probably use a doctor of one type of another; poor Fitz might have brain damage, Coulson might be going crazy, and Skye could soon follow. Plus, New Shield probably needs a permanent med staff, what with fighting Hydra putting the agents in danger of injury.

So do we think the events and characters from the movies will only trickle down to AoS? I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever see these characters in the movies at all.

TVLine says Kyle MacLachlan is playing [BLACKOUT]Skye's dad.[/BLACKOUT]

MacLachlan is = [BLACKOUT]bloody hand man?[/BLACKOUT]

MacLachlan is = [BLACKOUT]bloody hand man?[/BLACKOUT]

Why is that in spoilers? Bloody hand man is common knowledge now for a few months since AOS season 1 ended.
