This is a site dedicated to the discussion of superheros and comic books. If you can't ask questions here where can you?

Oh you can ask questions, but if you want quicker more in-depth accurate answers there's much simpler ways to get it at times

Star Fox? As in "do a barrel roll" Star Fox? :funny:

Thanos is an eternal? Two questions - what the heck is an eternal, and how could Skye's mother possibly be one? She's not blue and massive?

The blue guy is a kree first of all. Eternals come in all shapes and sizes, they're basically gods

As I said on the other thread. There are too many links to the Kree for them to be Eternals in my opinion.

But I enjoyed the elaborate coding premise :woot:
Phew... I was afraid that might not go over well. :)

Also, here's the most famous family of Titans (who are an offshoot of Eternals that colonized Titan):

D'awww! Kid Thanos looks so cute! :o (nope... couldn't keep a straight face.)

They're perfectly serviceable. You can't write them in stone as no one will ever be able to agree on what and what not should be covered. They're guidelines to be used as a starting point for determining appropriate content for your particular situation.

TV-14 is pretty clear:

This program contains some material that many parents would find unsuitable for children under 14 years of age.

The FCC warns that "Parents are cautioned to exercise some care in monitoring this program and are cautioned against letting children under the age of 14 watch unattended."
Precisely

..... the Eternals have many ties to the Kree.

The Eternals experimented on the Kree, just like the Kree experimented on other races

But why would a key to an Eternal city have Kree writing on it? (wiki say's that the Kree experimented on a captured Eternal before continuing their experiments on the Inhumans).

If it were an Eternal city, I could see the possibility that the Kree was part of an expedition to Earth that was given the Obelisk (whatever it is) and asked to investigate the city. There they studied the Eternals, and are thus inspired to create the Inhumans.

But I admit the Inhuman angle is probably more likely.

It's possible and I wouldn't be against the idea. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

This show needs a rating. Think of the children!

Errrr, it was rated, and given a stronger one for this episode.

I ignored that one. My poor kids!

Does not compute.

I guess I earned that one. :whatever:

However, this is a show that is supposed to be geared towards people that are younger and it is going to lose viewers. They are not selling Spiderman and Iron Man figures primarily for adults. That much is a fact. No one is going to suddenly start watching it for the violence factor because the comic books fans are already here watching it that will and people that love gore already have other things that are far worse to watch. Nothing is to be gained from the fore. The best AoS can do is attract new viewers with new movies and maintain the shrinking audience in the mean time. More gore will accomplish nothing except alienating 24% of viewers. I have no idea why anyone would disagree with that basic position? It defies history and things that are given in Hollywood. General ratings always attract more viewers with very few exceptions.

What you're asking for is the show to cater to you while alienating the rest of us. If I like the show, I don't care how many viewers it has but I suspect if I like the show then others do too.

Yes, it was absolutely necessary.

Great. Then you can watch it on DVD when they stop making new episodes because they lost too many viewers. You want the show to cater to you while alienating me. That's called (gasp) disagreement! What a concept! We have that here in " 'Murica"

So????

It seems you want to be the person responsible for whether my opinion is valid or not. I call that arrogance. It seems you feel threatened by disagreement for some reason. Do you honestly think Marvel is going to make any decision about content based on comments I make on a random fanboard? You might want to learn about perspective and not get so worked up because I disagreed with you. I owned my actions that I ignored the TV-14 rating and said it was on me. What else do you want from me? A good boot licking?

In other words...calm down and let other people express an opinion without climbing down their throat for it and in general being an arse. :woot:

I want the series to continue because I love the show. I want to see the show crossover with the movies more and introduce new characters and find out who the heck Eden Sher was supposed to be. (Squirrel girl!!!!! :) I also want to make sure it's something I can enjoy with my family too and I see nothing wrong in that. I'm sorry that you do. Perhaps when you get your own family, if you so choose, you may feel differently about it then.

You sure are sensitive.

You're the one disagreeing with the show, not me.

You're the one arguing with everyone else. No one has taken your side, friend.

That's the problem this show had. It didn't really know what it wanted to be in the first season. Now I think it has decided to grow up a bit. The later timeslot suggests this as well. It does risk alienating some viewers.
Hopefully they can find the right balance. Just keep an eye on the age ratings.

Not sensitive, I am opinionated and I love having the last word. Character flaw? Sure. Don't care. And yes, other people have sided with me here and on other boards. They were shocked and disturbed by that scene. But frankly, I don't care if I have allies anyway. Maybe that's a 'Murican thing. :)

Besides, I don't think it's a lack of allies as much as few other people are stupid enough to get into this argument with us. :yay:

Let's drop it, mmmkay?
