Happy Thanksgiving!
I have officially started my mission to watch all of the Whedon shows: Buffy, Angel, Dollhouse, and Firefly (and Serenity). 3 episodes down of Buffy, 143 more to go!

PS. Does anyone know a good viewing order for Buffy and Angel that takes into account crossovers, plot, and character development?

Ha, I've created a version of this list for friends before. It had never even occurred to me to look for a pre-existing one online.

Happy viewing, and if you find yourself getting a little worried about the quality of those early Buffy eps and second-guessing your decision to watch 'em all, don't - it gets exponentially better, truly.

And if you care to discuss, remember, we have a thread in the TV forum dedicated to both shows:

http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=378391&page=36

Even though people haven't posted there in a few days, it's still a surprisingly active thread for one about shows that have been off the air for over a decade now. Tends to get more active whenever there's a new viewer in our midst, too. :woot:

I don't suggest reading through the back pages of the thread 'til you finish, though, unless you want to be spoiled.

Thanks, I'll probably wait to visit that thread just to make sure I don't get spoiled. I read the Joss Whedon biography and I made sure I marked off any sections about Buffy to make sure I didn't read anything.
I actually like the first 6 episodes, they are incredibly cheesey but still good.

He's also the 'Man'...darin

:hehe:

Could this guy be far behind? :lmao: :funny:

I think Whitehall should die by grabbing the Diviner and have an Indiana Jones style death. If they heavily imply he's worthy of using the Diviner only to find out he's not that could work

So, Atlantis confirmed to exist in some shape or form in the MCU currently due to the new clip. Coulson and SHIELD know of its existence.
I'd be inclined to think it's a throwaway joke but just the tone of Coulson and Tripp as they spoke made me believe it was a proper confirmation (to us) about its existance.

Doesn't mean they'll introduce it right now and that they have Namors rights back (which there seems to be a bit of complication) but Atlantis is a pretty common city name amongst tons of stories and folklore so they can get away with it but cannot specifically mention Namor.....if this makes sense...

I hadn't thought about Namor, thing is the Blue Alien has been confirmed to be a Kree, why would everyone injected Gh formula be carving a map of Atlantis?

yeah THAT would be a sight to behold on SHIELD :D if they do ever use the Atlantians, I can see it starting with either Namorita or Namor like when they first recover him and he's forgotten who he was.

Before I forget again, WHERE was it the city was that SHIELD is headed? I want to Google earth it

San Felipe del Morro Fort, San Juan, Puerto Rico if I'm not mistaken.

Hmmm thanks. Wish I had internet at Home, going to have to wait until Monday at the College even with that clip for the show

I really hope that Hill will appear sometime this season. I know Cobie is pregnant but so was Kerry Washington during the third season of Scandal, and she was the lead character so hopefully they can figure out a way for 2 or 3 guest appearances.

She was pregnant during a season of How I Met Your Mother and they never had problems there. Plus, Marvel has now had plenty of experience with Scarlet Johansson.

I'm hoping she'll also be in Civil War.

They used the body double more, green screened her stomach
Which should be ok, so long as they don't use the usual tv setup up of hiding her behind desks, having her carry documents etc

Smulders is preggers again? Cool for her :)

Suspect they'll just get away with the old video conference call thing of showing from the chest up on a monitor if they get her back...

Buffy season 1-3.

Buffy season 4 and Angel season 1 start to happen at the same time, so if you want to watch one episode of each, you should do so. On season 1 of Angel there are quite a lot of crossovers with season 4 of Buffy. After that, though, there are still crosovers, but less. Stil, they do exist. I think season 3 of Angel and season 6 of Buffy is the most crossover free of them, but you get a couple of very interesting ones on season 4 of Angel with season 7 of Buffy that are actually quite important. Season 5 of Angel is the first (and sadly last) one to fly alone.

There is a moment in season 2 of Buffy where one character tells her that she looks diferent and she answers that she has grown up. She is also talking about the show. Believe me, if you like the first couple of episodes of season one, prepare to be gushing when about the second half of season 2 this thing explodes. You cant see the quality jump this series takes then coming, no matter how optimistic you are. There is a moment the series punches you in the gut and you realize its suddenly a completely different ballgame.

Its also the best Spiderman adaptation ever made. There, i said it. :word:

Angel season one has a great pilot but it is a bit of a mess. You can see they didnt really know how to aproach the character fully. Stay with it, though. It gets better, season 2 is much better and by season 3 the payoff is exceptionall. Season 3, 4 and 5 are just wonderfull to behold.

Kinda the Whedon M.O. "Dollhouse", "S.H.I.E.L.D.", "Buffy" and "Angel" all improved greatly after their somewhat clunky debut seasons. It was really only "Firefly" that fully delivered upon its potential in its first season but then again FOX aired all the episodes out of order. So one could argue that a Joss show has never had a truly great debut season. Can you imagine if this logic applied to AVENGERS films as well?! Look out!
