Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents of SHIELD TV series for ABC - General Discussion - LEVEL 11 - Part 4

Realized we have a new (or old) facility to add to my 'list of SHIELD facilities' with "The Rat" (former SSR/SHIELD prison).

Also, I posted this on IMDb, thought I'd throw it here as well. So given what we've learned so far as well as going back to Season 1 "Seeds" and what Lumley tells Coulson and May, does this sound about right (or at least plausible) as to a very rough "order of events" for 1989??

• HYDRA enters the village in China (for whatever reason either looking specifically for Skye's mom or possibly a descendant of hers) and they kill/massacre those who try to protect her (perhaps it was Skye's mom that was classified as the 0-8-4 and not necessarily Skye herself?). They capture Skye's mom and a few other villagers.
  
  
• SHIELD agents are dispatched to investigate and the first team either:
  a) run across remaining HYDRA elements and are killed by them (the lead agent finding and protecting Skye - believing her to be what they were looking for)
  b) run across Skye's dad who's returned to the village to find his wife/love missing and the villagers slaughtered - he loses control and takes it out on the SHIELD agents that are trying to take his daughter (again, the lead agent finding and protecting Skye)
  .....either way, the five running the back end find the body of the lead agent still holding onto Skye (which they believe to be the 0-8-4) and take her.
  
  
• Skye's mom and the villagers are taken to the castle/facility in Austria where she's vivisected (after who knows how long) and then disposed of
  
  
• Skye's dad having tracked down where his wife/love was taken to arrives too late and finds her body. After this point, he probably also begins tracking down and crossing off the SHIELD agents responsible for taking Skye in an effort to find her resulting in Agent Avery setting up the nearly invisible protocol to keep Skye hidden in the foster care system.

Any thoughts/edits/corrections/additions?....snide remarks??

I definitely prefer more comic characters and have said so from the start, and ain't ashamed to keep saying it; but yeah, Mr. Hyde and/or Quake Johnson don't give me a nerd *****, either.

Whoever they turn out to be, original or comic-canon, I have no doubt that we're looking at more cosmic origins than down-to-earth ones. Skye is definitely half-Inhuman (or whatever Moms turns out to be....definitely not ordinary human), and I suspect that The Doctor is an offworlder who has a deep-seated animosity towards Kree.

Well we do know for a fact that Skye is and has always been a "known" character. The show creators said so during the first season. They also wouldn't hide her and her father's names for a "big reveal" effect that they're obviously doing.

And nerd boners aside... there's not a whole lot of characters this show can use that would appeal to most... so its always going to be be "different strokes for different folks" (pun intended)

It was the poster released before season 2 started. I believe we have (from left to right) Hunter, Fitz, Skye, Coulson, May, Simmons, and then Ward is on the right with his back turned (and a crack in the ground between him and the others). Basically, all the regular cast (the others, Mack, Bobbi, Tripp, are recurring guest stars)

My guess is the last dude is lance hunter
Ward is in the art, yes, but notice the crack between him and the others
And Bobbi hadn't been announced yet, plus they wanted to keep her undercover thing a little surprising, for the GA at least

but yeah, note the date on there, this was teasing out the season, its not new

There seems to be a noteworthy casting in this episode. A character named just as 'man' will be played by Jamie Harris, who happens to be the son and brother of actors Richard Harris and Jared Harris.

I wonder who he's meant to be...

It's regular actors, not guest actors, which is why Trip and Mack aren't there. Bobbi, in addition to being a guest star, was a secret at the time the poster was made (which is before the season started). The person on the far left is Lance Hunter. The person on the far right is Ward. His back is turned to show his betrayal.

It would be wonderful if this guy is someone like Karnak or Maximus. However he will probably be an Inhuman of no real relevance just for the TV show.... but it's been surprising me so who knows.

Depends on what one'd call "revelance". I've been thinking, while they may not be allowed to use characters like Black Bolt or Maximus, their parents might be within their limits. Jamie Harris might be playing their father Agon, for example.

Also noteworthy, Triplett is still listed as appearing, so he probably won't die next episode. Plus... "Sam" Koenig?
