Can't wait to see it in about a 1/2 hour

Yep. Lincoln and Joey officially took part in a S.H.I.E.L.D. mission, too. It was an eventful episode.

Took Part?
Lincoln goes off screen and some lights go out!Joey melts a few bullets by accident.
That was about the limit to the secret warriors contribution.
VERY disappointing.

When they showed the skull with tentacles as a shrine, instead of just a drawn logo as usual, Hive popped into my mind as something worshipped by Hydra. Then when the worm/tentacle took over Ward's body that made me think about this even more. If it is indeed Hive, I wonder if they might also bring back Whitehall as Kraken. And do you think they'd introduce the Gorgon, Viper/Madame Hydra, and/or the Contessa Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine at some point in the show?

My thought on the kiss between Lincoln and Daisy: No build-up! The guy just left her to possibly die in the rubble, orders be damned. And now he's kissing her because what? Reasons? That scene just made me roll eyes so hard I sprained a muscle.

It's 100% The Hive. They probably will do some amalgamation of The Kraken/Ward since they didn't do it for Whitehall.

And the last thing that Simmons saw walking around that made it look like Death was probably the Hive's last host, just really decomposed.

Pretty sure they were already canoodling on screen in an earlier episode. I want to say the one where Lincoln officially moves into the SHIELD base?

they showed it once before
but it was sudden and forced then, and still feels that way now

funny thing is, they had a decent amount of chemistry last season, but Lincoln's such a whiny t**t this season that the chemistry flew right out the door

That kiss was even more awkward. And it was in 3x03 or 3x04. Still the build up is so tragic it's almost funny. It didn't feel earned. I feel for those who ship them. It felt thrown in there because Daisy didn't have Mack or Coulson there to hug.

uggggghh
only Ward could die and still be crammed down our throat for several more seasons

Hey, now.

Joey also reinforced a barricade off screen.

Lincoln also took out that one guard with a pretty impressive lightning bolt.

Regardless, the statement was took part in the mission, so the "off screen" comment seems like a red herring.

The Secret Warrior's should get a more prominent role in S3B although I prefer it they didn't. I like supernatural powers as much as the next guy but this show is about the characters, not super heroes. If I want that I'll rewatch the Avengers movies.

If you want this show to stay on the air, it needs superheroes and villains. The show about agents is what caused the massive ratings decline to begin with.

I don't feel bad for Gemma Simmons. Way to go Gemma. You freed Lash, and he murdered all the people SHIELD wanted to save. Those deaths are on Gemma Simmons' head, and she should be held responsible for freeing Lash. Quite frankly, I didn't feel bad for her at all the end. And now Lash is free again. Good job breaking it hero.

Pretty much everything bad that happened in this episode is because of Gemma Simmons.

I'm not so optimistic, but hopefully, you're right and we'll get several more seasons. :)

It wasn't just a guard. It was a telekinetic inhuman, according to Daisy - though my impression was he could only move metals. I'm not sure why Daisy believes otherwise.

And he melted a grille in order to get inside the tunnel. :)

^ Technically, we've only seen him move metals, but that doesn't mean it's the extent of his powers. In the absence of knowledge to the contrary, it's wise to assume the worst.

Well, the Secret Warriors are agents of SHIELD. More importantly, the show is evolving. I trust the writers not to lose track of the spy vs. spy elements since they didn't this season with Inhuman drama. And I doubt they'll lose track of the characters they worked so hard to create. But they can't get stuck in the status quo either. This is a new opportunity to explore - one drawn straight from the comics.

They have to say he can move more than metals to make it less obvious that he's Asian Magneto. Multiple Woman, Blind Nightcrawler, Not The Same Scorch From X-Men™, and Not The Raina That Fought The X-Men, Don't Sue were already pushing it... :o

Gemma has become the “Andrea” (of Walking Dead infamy) for me. I just keep waiting for this supposedly brilliant person to do something stupid again. I can almost guarantee her actions in this past episode will cause her to do something stupid in the second half of the season. She will end up trying to stop Lash solo resulting in a crazy rescue attempt that ends up killing someone (another reason for her to mope) or she will hesitate to kill a dangerous inhuman because “she can’t bear another death on her conscience” and that will end up with someone else dying.

The whole will she love Fitz back or won’t she angle is also extremely bad in this show. The dude gave up his faculties to save her in the ocean and almost died and then he (to quote Gemma) “dove through a hole in the universe” to save her so what the #$%# does this dude have to do? Now we have to deal with the whole “will she or won’t she be depressed about Will/Lash Murders” and I just need her to die. I can’t watch her be dumb anymore and I can’t stand the chemistry (or lack thereof) whenever Fitz and Simmons try and make us believe they like each other. Lincoln and Daisy have more chemistry than those two and they might as well be cardboard cutouts.

Also, I rewatched the episode with Hive in mind as the creature and the Hydra statue on the planet looks an awful lot like Hive. If it turned out to be anything but Hive I would be shocked.

Also, who thinks Malick is going to think to himself, "I finally have the weapon I need" and Hive/Ward is thinking "why do I need this clown?"

Malick NOT being betrayed by It/MaybeHive would be a shock. That's generally how this sort of thing plays out.

Personally, I would love for them to bring a female inhuman on board that is hot for Fitz so that Gemma loses out for stringing Fitz along. I mean, look at the demographics. How many viewers are/were socially awkward and ended up in the Friend zone. Turn the tables and punt Gemma to the friend zone.

I wouldn't mind that although another love triangle isn't what I would prefer happen. In the pod he sacrificed his life for hers. In this season he is a sacrificed his heart for her happiness. I just hope he grows a backbone and not let himself be a consolation price.

Also Gemma is with a J, Jemma. :)
