Edit: I photoshopped this last year while I was drunk. It's supposed to be 80s themed for some reason, I can't remember why, but I guess it seemed like a good idea at the time lol

On ep. 10, which will be December 8th.

[blackout]As a firm believer that Lincoln is Thomas I'm inclined to think Tyler Ritter's Thomas will end up being a SHIELD agent that looks close enough that he could be the younger brother and Coulson will use him to lure Ward into a trap. The synopsis does say Coulson will do something extreme in an attempt to settle the score, after all![/blackout]

i'm going with no on that...

there's not going to be 2 thomas's...

Coulson is likely going after Ritter/Thomas to bait Ward.

The teenage actor who played Ward's older brother in 1x08 The Well was credited in the guest list as Maynard, but that really ended up being just a placeholder name, didn't it? As revealed in 2x06 A Fractured House Ward's older brother is named Christian. A similar thing could be happening here: the actor would be playing a SHIELD agent pretending to be Thomas, but he's really not, and may have a different name altogether.

Going to have to watch it later at work. The buffering here at the center is worse than at work

I wasn't digging the ward storyline. I wanted more space stuff. Making hydra this ancient organization and connecting them with space and the Inhumans makes the storyline more to my liking.

I agree
The way it's all tying together is finally making the Ward/Hydra stuff interesting

I'm still over Hydra as the bad guys, but at least now I'm curious to find out the truth in this situation

At least this iteration of Hydra is somewhat different enough from the Neo-Nazi stuff.

Hellfire?

I doubt it, because

Brett, although he hinted Ward might be from the comics, specifically named Hellfire (and Punisher) as characters he often heard as speculation (and the interviewer also mentioned Taskmaster), I doubt he could just say that if he actually was him. Besides, I don't think Hellfire is among anyone's favourite characters in all of comics.

Hellfire would be out of left field... but i guess if they are digging into the Occult origins of Hydra... with the ram's head.. maybe.

but...

i still feel like Task Master would make the most sense.

I'm still extremely skeptical of Ward being a comic character (and have no particular interest in that anyway), but has he appeared in the comics? I know Mark Waid held off on adding Skye because they were told she was Daisy Johnson. If he hasn't appeared, I wonder if it's for a similar reason.

No I don't think he has.
I know May, Simmons, Fitz and obviously Coulson has, but not Ward.

Ward apparently showed up (appropriately) in an issue of the Hail Hydra miniseries that was released during the whole Secret Wars story.

Was that in-continuity though?
Because I saw an interview with Dalton and he's under the impression that Ward has yet to show up in the comics.

Hard to say what is and isn't in-continuity with the recent events. If it's Secret Wars, it's possible Brett Dalton missed it.

May I ask how you arrived at this conclusion?

Written by yours truly. Hope it entertains you! :)

Hellfire would be out of left field...

To be fair, Ward has been quite the pyromaniac throughout the seasons, and especially this one. He burned down the family house when he was 15 with one of his brothers, likely Christian, inside, and did it again after escaping SHIELD's custody in season 2, this time killing Christian and his parents (presumably, we only see a news report on the subject, not really their bodies), tried to burn down the local market with Andrew inside and threatened to torch Malick's henchmen. He also did fulfill Hellfire's biggest story arc from the comics when he was revealed as a traitor to his team. So yeah, not really all that out of left field.
