What's the name of this group that SHIELD is tracking, the Rising Tide or something like that? Maybe these red wierdos are members of that organization.

I'm definitely saying Red Skull as well. That's the first thought that popped into my head when seeing those guys. And it seems to be the same for others. I doubt they would make them reminiscent of the Red Skull if he wasn't connected. Possible, but why not just go with a different design? That seems like something they would have noticed pre and changed around.

For a completely random guess, could they possibly be affiliated with the Hellfire Club? Natty suits and identical masks sound like they could be a new spin on the Club's soldiers.

Hellfire Club is X-Men, which belongs to Fox, so its not them.

TV Rights are different, but I still dont think it's Hellfire Club

I'd love for the guys in the red mask to have something to do with comic-book canon in some form or other, but the most likely scenario there is simply that the bad guy is taking a bunch of decoys in identical suits, masks, and briefcases and parading them en masse through town so that the Agents can't find the needle in the haystack that's going to save the day. Think Joker's "killer clowns 'n' SWAT teams" trick in TDK.

Actually more reminiscent of the modern Thomas Crown Affair scene to me but I agree with your premise.

As quoted a few pages back, the producers have stated that Marvel can't use mutants in the show, and I'd assume that extends to any characters that are X-related like Hellfire.

Agent Coulson, so badass not even gods wielding mystical macguffins can kill him.

I think we might be reading too much into the red masks. I don't think it'll lead back to the Red Skull. My guess is that Whedon will probably try to load at least the front half of this season with as much of his and his writers' original ideas as possible to prove that the show can stand on its own two feet before bringing more overt Marvel stuff in later on.

You're probably right, maybe their all wearing red masks because they think it looks cool or scary, nothing more.

Coulson's dead, you could have fooled me. He looked pretty spry for a dead man in the promos.

All of the chatter surrounding Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. new television on ABC has revolved around the pilot episode that premieres in less than two weeks on Septemer 24. There's plenty more adventures for Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his team past the pilot, and finally some scant details surrounding one of those episodes has been released.
Episode 102 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is titled '0-8-4' and sends Agent Coulson and his team all the way to Peru to investigate a mysterious object. As you may have already figured out, the object in question is codenamed 0-8-4.

While investigating the object, Coulson runs into Comandante Camilla Reyes (guest star Leonor Varela). Per the synopsis, "more than just sparks fly at 30,000 feet" as a result.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stars, in addition to Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Agent Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Skye, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz and Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons. Episode 102 '0-8-4' is co-written by Maurissa Tancharoen, Jed Wheden and Jeffrey Bell, with David Straiton performing directorial duties. It will premiere on October 1 at 8/7c.
