I think it's going to go extremely well...it will automatically draw in the superhero fans and the non-fans alike. I don't know anyone who doesn't like Avengers...even people who don't read comics love it from what I can tell.

yeah, just the other day i came across a post where someone said he doesn't see ho Green Lantern was that much worse than Avengers..lol

I never really care personally about reviews, but i prefer there to be good ones when i like something, mostly so in tv, because some people do care and bad reviews CAN (dont necesarily do, but...) affect viewership. That said, we got plenty of great reviews already, so a couple of lukewarm arent really gonna get my sleep.

I do though expect some adjusting time needed for some, as it being Marvels first tv series its impossible for it to fullfill everybodys wish of what a marvel series HAS to be...

I'm one person who ain't new but I don't go in there often and so I haven't noticed but it probably is true,I still think Avengers is overall the best CBM ever or it's at least my personal favorite and #1 though

And I ain't a casual fan either,I'm willing to bet many of them hating on it so much have never even read a comic book(there has been people like in the batman/superman/spider-man sections who admitted that)

Metacritic has AOS currently listed at 74, which is a solid critical success. The only non-"greenlight" reviews came from New York (Post and Times) and Slate, and even those snobs still rate it within the yellow zone.....no "red zone" reviews at all.

Most of the complaints from the three non-positive reviews revolved around the show being too "fanboyish" ---- meaning we'll all probably love the hell out of it.

I've seen a few comments like that, or even that GL was better than The Avengers. As a GL fan I have to admire that level of delusional fanhood. Over in the Misc. Marvel section there are so many Marvel bashing threads that they're repeating themselves. In some peoples' eyes the worst thing Marvel has done is become successful. For that they will never forgive it.

You have a peculiar crowd of friends, then. Only Michael Bay and his immediate family enjoyed Transformers 3. Avengers is pretty universally well-liked.

Some people really loath things that goes too mainstream and gets too popular for some reason,They enjoy something but once it gains massive success and gains different fans they immediately turn on it

Its a forum, we share our thoughts, opinions and feelings, sometimes we just try to discuss something and look out for different point os view. Sometimes we even try to be convinced about the contarry of what we think if we feel we are doing something wrong. I dont know the poster, but expressing a lack of interest and wanting to express it is surely a valid intention.
