Depp as anything in the MCU would be huge, but he will be like 52 then so idk if that matters really or not.

You say "52" like that's a bad thing. How old do you think Dr. Strange needs to be?

The movie role was written to make him in his 30s, but they'll alter that if they can land Depp.

Would still prefer Luke Evans or Cumberbatch as Strange, but oh well.

Hardly even necessary. Depp could easily still pass for late 30's. (Though, that being said...I'm still not sure about him for the role)

And while we're on the topic of age...

Bill Paxton is almost 59 years old!

Kind of puts a new perspective on the Michael Douglas controversy... (at least in regards to age)

Paxton will end his run on the show being killed by Centipede.

My money's on him being crushed by Graviton.

. . .but will they then save his life by replacing various body parts with cybernetics? ;)

( "Hey, we got to you quicker than we did for Coulson". )

Another good episode. Loved it! i wonder who Skye will end up being? Pseudo Asian girl with super powers....

She's not Asian... But the only one coming to my mind that's not an x-female is spiderwoman

Original superheroine, most likely.
Alien origin, most likely, too.

Alien would make sense

Not sure if i buy the "original" hero bit though. Their were rumors quoted as saying "we will know who she is" and they said she'd have powers. So far rumors are adding up

I'm holding out hope for Spider Woman. Other than that, assuming she's not a new character or an alien, the only other option that I've been able to come up with is Carmilla Black. Its a long shot, but her backstory on the Marvel wiki sounds incredibly similar.

I'm just not convinced these writers are doing much comic-book mining; but introducing Blizzard tonight is another step in that direction.

I'm gonna make a couple of perennial theorists very happy right now with the following statement:

Coulson, Mar-Vell. Skye, Ms./Capt. Marvel. Real twist of the original storyline, obviously, but maybe they're *both* (Kree) aliens, and entirely unaware of the fact.

I'm about 98% certain that Coulson is completely human, or at least was before he was raised. If I'm wrong, I'll be the first to own up to it, but I just don't see that as being the direction of his character. It doesn't fit with what he's all about or what the show is at least trying to be. Coulson's arc isis going to be about a normal human who was used for something inhuman, not a secret alien that was kept alive because he might prove useful in the future. I am as certain of that as I can be without actually being a clairvoyant myself. My guess as to why Nick Fury raised Coulson and not anybody else is likely that he had the means that he wanted to test out and why not use someone he personally and professionally wishes weren't dead as the guinea pig?

As for Skye, she might be an alien, but I don't see that as being any more likely than her being some kind of enhanced human. Maybe a genetic experiment, maybe simply a mutant (even though Agents of SHIELD can't use the word, the concept is probably free game, and I'm sure there are plenty of mutant characters who Fox didn't get if Skye is supposed to be someone from the comics). Alien is possible, but I don't see how it's any more likely than anything else.

Actually, the actress IS half chinese, even lived there for a while. Who knows if that influenced her getting the part?.. Though i guess it's also possible (maybe) the writers included China in the story because of Chloe's background

I'm still convinced Skye's actually a.k.a. Jessica Jones, and the Jessica Jones show spins off of this.

Basically she would eventually have a knack for working under multiple ALIAS's after going undercover, has no real identity anymore, and can offer the same services as Shield with her own private investigation firm.
It's true she does have a background that matches Spiderwoman/Jessica Drew. But there are actually quite a few similarities between Skye and Jessica Jones..

While working undercover they discover Skye is getting better at what May hates...working under assumed identities and false personas...
In other words: acting. Sort of like how Black Widow had to act in IM2, and got rid of her accent. BlackWidow is a very talented actor, can drop and change accents, knows multiple languages, can fake it effectively, sorta like Trevor...
Skye sucked at pretending to be May.
However, Simmons and May really suck at "acting" undercover.

She's been launching her own private investigation into her parents this whole time. Coulson hinted in one episode that she has a talent for reading people, and that one day she might be able to assess people for shield's Asset Index thingy. Whatever it was that Coulson said at the end of that episode, she said it was a "bad name".
Maybe she can come up with a better one, or shorten the name Coulson listed off and change it to A.L.I.A.S. ;)

Oh that is eerily similar.... And makes alot of sense..... She's known, but not known enough to screw up chances of her getting a film. (who ever skye is won't be big enough to have a film)

Jones would have potential if it weren't for the fact she's getting her own netflix show and will most definitely be played by a different character

Spiderwoman seems more and more likely but you never know. Also I'm leaning towards Coulson always being human and was brought back from alien means. My guess is something to do with the Inhumans.
