I said this in another thread, but it would not be surprised in the least if Bucky makes appearances during the 2nd season.
If SHIELD has become as corrupt as TWS makes it look like it has, and if SHIELD falls/has some kind of major shakeup, then I can see more than a few villains "escaping." That's if it hasn't already started happening.
I honestly don't want them to wait too long for him to get his gamma-irradiated hair. It would be boring to keep watching him as the psychologist from TIH. But he'll have to bulk up if he wants to look like Doc Samson from the comics.
I never got casting Ty for Sampson unless they plan to change the actor once he gets gammered up.
Yeah they don't go into too much detail on him. even in the Fury's big Week comic
Did they ever specify in TIH that Ty Burrell was actually Leonard Samson? I don't recall hearing his name specifically.
If they really plan on going with Doc Samson's story as it is in the comics I really can't get behind Burrell. The characters name isn't even Samson in the comics, it's a Jewish last name and he was amicably called Samson due to his long flowing hair reminiscent to Samson from the bible. Honestly it would have been better if they'd given him the Skivorski last name and let him be coined Doc Samson after the eventual transformation since his power was linked to the length of his hair.
Anyways they could go backwards on that and have him grow out the hair for the role, but his delivery as an actor is pretty deadpan and he just seems to lack the arrogant charisma I see the character having.
I hate recasting but if they'd want to go in this direction I couldn't see how they couldn't.
He's credited as Leonard Samson.
Episode 7 "The Hub" and Episode 8 "The Well"... it was originally supposed to be the other way around with "The Well" first followed by "The Hub" (I think the reason they changed it was because they wanted to give another week between Thor: The Dark World's release in theaters and The Well).I think I asked this before but now I can't find the post. Can someone remind me which two episodes were shown out of order?
If Bucky were to make some appearances in this series.... I would be one happy womanI said this in another thread, but it would not be surprised in the least if Bucky makes appearances during the 2nd season.
(to put it very mildly

I didn't know that, or maybe didn't remember that. I was thinking before when posting yesterday that it seems a bit ironic and all-too-convenient that someone named "Samson" would find that the source of his strength is his hair. It makes more sense that he simply names himself after the Bible character.
But if it's just credited that way but not actually mentioned in the movie, it's something that people could potentially overlook. Probably only fans would have looked carefully at the credits like that. General audiences wouldn't even pay attention or remember but just think of him as a generic shrink that Banner visited. He's probably no more memorable than the married guy whom Lorelei seduced in the latest episode of AOS.
Speaking of the latest episode, I actually am thinking that Coulson really does need to make a reappearance in the movies. How long can it go on before he reveals that he is alive to Thor and the rest of the Avengers? I would've assumed before that maybe Sif would've told Thor, but since he wants to be the one to tell Thor himself, then it ought to be sooner than later. I think it will be getting a bit silly if, by the time of Avengers 3, he still hasn't made himself known.
So Coulson ought to at least have a cameo in Avengers 2, even for the sake of not continuing this "Coulson is dead but everyone else knows he's actually alive except for the Avengers" storyline, where it will just start to get ridiculous.
Since it is a SHIELD centered program, I'd like to see Widow, Bucky, and Dum Dugan in the next season. And more Maria Hill & Victoria Hand.
That's what I don't get. Why they went into more detail with Sterns and not Blonsky is beyond me unless they just wanted to give more details as to what actually happened after Abomination leftI'm having such a hard time keeping myself from TWS forums and other open forums on the net, and not watching trailers and spots for this movie it is driving me crazy, and isn't Europe getting it this Friday?!
Anyways it sure does seem like some nefarious stuff is going down, just hard to believe anyone would think it is in their best interest to let a beast like Blonsky on the loose!

At the end of the day though if we get to see any gamma powered ally I rather it be Jen Walters, get a really solid actress and introduce her on the Daredevil show as the lawyer she is and have her transition to the movies.
They let us know he was taken care of basically.
Plus they showed us how BW took care of The Leader shortly after he came to in the lab and started being a nuisance... So for the Clairvoyant theories concerning him to be true he'd have had to gotten out somehow and I wonder if the show would try to respect the comic tie-in continuity, that be amazing if they did.
I'm hoping his encephalitis has gotten grotesque to the point of needing some sort of brace to keep his head up, and that he's gotten green.
He's credited as Leonard Samson.
huh no, Samson isn't like the myth. I don't recall there ever being something canon on the length of Doc Samson's hair... Samson has short hair in the books now... he's cut his hair. doesn't that mean his power should be cut if that's true?
Edit: his gamma levels have stabilized and his hair length doesn't matter...
This is incredibly stupid for the MCU.. just give him short green hair, and make him strong.. that's all he needs. And just make his last name Samson... if they want a real last name shout out... then say it was changed when his family came over to America.

I honestly don't ever remember that...and just because it's on "wiki" don't make it fact lol... the proof is right in the link
Originally his hair length indicated his strength.. but his gamma levels have balanced and that's no longer a factor

I believe you I just don't remember that. I did have all of the Hulk comics but the first 5 issues (had 6) back in the 80's. sold them off to pay hospital bills for my kids being born![]()

I really do hope Talbot brings back Hulk characters... i'd prefer the actors remain the same as well, to keep things feeling like the same continuity. But if they have to recast... it's not the worst thing in the world.
So long as they keep Hurt as Thunderbolt, also, and I might be the only one, but I liked Liv Tyler as Betty.
Hurt was perfect as Ross. Would love to see him again.
I like Liv but I'm not married to her playing Betty. Either way.
If they bring in Sterns again I don't want Tim Blake Nelson anywhere near this. Recast asap, and if they really want to make me happy they'll get Micheal Emerson.
The Leader is easy to recast anyway, since he would be in a lot of makeup. Maybe Jeffrey Combs could play him, since he did his voice in A:EMH and is used to wearing lots of makeup in Star Trek: DS9.
I think for Samson, they needed someone a bit more like Kevin Sorbo. Obviously not him now, because he's too old and no longer that muscular, but he was more like Doc Samson in his hey day.
