Yeah there were markers, just no images of what they were for yet

Well unless Richards is doing a preemptive April fools troll he is certainly heavily hinting that the wait will pay off with his tweet.

It's still beyond me how it is the metal is under his skin.
Seems pretty elaborate for the sake of milking a reveal, but now I really am picking nits.

I just don't know if that is his real skin over what is being unveiled, if coincidentally the only part of his skull that is covered in metal is what will be shown, or if his entire head is metal?

I can't see them substituting too much flesh with tech since what made him an attractive candidate in the first place was the Centipede serum within him...

Well, we don't know much damage the bomb blast did to him in full: We know his right hand side took the brunt of the blast, taking off his leg and scarring him on that side, but that would have meant his left hand side would have taken the brunt of any impact where he was blasted (at great force). There was a truck on the other side of the bridge from where he was blasted so hitting that with his noggin could do a lot of damage.

In theory he could have shattered his skull on impact on that side, maybe some brain damage too, so a skull plate implant with the bionic eye there as well (I think I saw red in that left eye in one of the promos) wouldn't be out of bounds.

Usually the comic artists have drawn the plate as being an external covering (raised a little above skin level) but I have seen it drawn below the skin the level before now. A little bit more gruesome like that if they do go that route.

I might be the only person alive who finds Patton Oswalt not funny, and actually quite smug and holier-than-thou.

After watching TWS, I'm really interested to know what AoS is going to look like.

I always wanted to see Patton Oswalt in the MCU. I'll take it.

I love the idea of Patton as Foggy but cannot allow myself to agree with Sawyer.

It is a dilemma.

Agreed, especially with what I've heard about the outcome of the film.

I mean unlike the events of "Iron Man 3" or "Thor 2", I just can't see on how the series wouldn't be severely affected by the events of "Winter Soldier"

I dont think its a coincidence that the show comes back after another two weeks hiatus precisely the 1 of April.

Well, in that case.... I don't think you should go jump off a bridge. :ninja:

I think Patton'll be fine.

His standup's okay; I prefer his bits on the Comedy Central roasts.

Looking forward to seeing him in a scene with Coulson.

I wonder how Coulson will react to
Agent Sitwell
potentially being evil/corrupt, considering that they've apparently worked together a lot in the past. The TWS tie-in episode HAS to be much more of a tie-in than TDW one was. Come on, they can't skip over the movie this time, especially if it ends they way that it's being reported. Season 2 (if it happens) will be VERY different if things play out the way that it's looks like they might.

Patton Oswalt! Awesome! I don't think too many people have seen Big Fan or Young Adult, but his (largely dramatic) performances in those films were Oscar-worthy. Absolutely astounding.

I think we can collectively retire the "Clairvoyant is MODOK" theory as of now. I don't think Marvel.com would toss that out so cavalierly if MODOK was the big reveal. Sucks a bit because I was totally calling MODOK, but I'm still excited to see who he/she/it will end up being. Love that Oswalt's mind went straight to "hey Marvel, give it to me straight, I'm playing MODOK, right?" :funny:

Also, I don't think I've heard of Eric Koenig. Is he, in Ron Burgundy's words, kind of a big deal? I don't think Oswalt would be burned through in a one-and-done kind of role. I'm thinking a recurring character and maybe even crossover into the movies.

what do you think will happen to the supervillains shield is holding if
sbield is destroyed in the cap2 movie; maybe season 2 can be capturing some of these criminals with help from some avenger friends

How will they address the events of TWS without spoiling it for people who haven't seen it? That's the big question. Because it sounds like the end of the movie does change the game for them.

Do you guys really think the staffs at these prison installations would just go ho hum and walk away leaving them unattended or was this addressed?

I suspect the answer is "no, Virginia, SHIELD is not going to be destroyed". A major battle that wrecks the Triskelion is no more going to "destroy" SHIELD than a 747 crashing into the Pentagon "destroyed" the US Army.

These interruptions to the airing schedule are becoming annoying.

There's more to it than that scene. At the end of TWS [BLACKOUT]SHIELD is basically crippled, if not outright destroyed internally. There's a Senate hearing on the fallout from its collapse.[/BLACKOUT]
