The guy writes great stories, but like most people who make a living in the arts or entertainment he hasn't the ability to do anything other than criticize when it comes to politics or society. But then, you don't have to offer solutions when you see everything as an intellectual puzzle to be solved rather than a real situation. For paid social critics and armchair philosophers, outcomes don't matter, only intentions. He conveys his points much better through his art in any case. When he opens his mouth to deal with any real issue he sounds like most on the left, naive and ill informed. At least he is smart enough to realize that capitalism is more of a guarantor of his freedom of expression than anarchism.
