Alcohol ruins so much...

My dad and stepmom drank a bit too much yesterday, and when I went to bed, they were lightly arguing.

An hour later, I'm awakened as Dad busts into my room and gets me and my stepbrother out of bed.

Apparently, the fight escalated, and she hit Dad. In defenive reflex, he pushed her away, and she fell and cut her nose.

She's now called someone to come and take her, my stepbrother, and my little brother away, and is sleeping in the locked bedroom. Dad's asleep on the couch, and everyone's back in bed.

Nah, she's cool. She just becomes unbalanced when she drinks too much.

Likewise, Dad has now sworn off alcohol and had me dump all the wine and beer in the house.

I don't mind people drinking as long as they can handle it. If someone can't handle there drink then they have no business drinking.

Exactly. I've never seen alcohol create an emotional problem between two people if there wasn't something already there underneath before the alcohol came into the equation in the first place. Odds are things weren't really going perfectly in the first place.
