It was a mixed bag for me. Some of it was great, some of it not so much. The pacing wasn't great although the story did pick up after the ship finally crashed down. Then it got far more gory than I expected it to be.
The xenomorph design is hit and miss too. At least the behavior is overall spot on.
Olyphant is good though he reminds me way too much of a certain replicant.Really should have put him in a Blade Runner movie.
The daft punk comment is spot on. It looked like the Xeno was wearing a visor.Yeah the xenomorph design messed with me a bit and I can’t tell whether I liked it or not. It definitely gave me a “guy in a suit” feel more than normal but this doesn’t feel like it was limited by budget. But I couldn’t help but feel like it looked like a dude from Daft Punk lol.

I think the issue is that they aren't using enough lube. It isn't nearly as wet as we are used to seeing the Xenos. Also, I think with it being a bit more of an action suit, the finer details are smoothed over to give it more mobility that you are picking up.
Question about episode one:
Why when the Xenomorph’s drool got on the black android’s face in the spaceship, it wasn’t acidic? Or did I miss something?
Oh a "screen life" movie set in the Alien universe could be fun. Give it that retro future aesthetic.Watched the first two eps, LOVED it. It's exactly what I expected Noah Hawley to do and more.
Also, that TV on the Radio needle drop was perfect.
But I will say when they killed off Richa Moorjani I was pissed.
I was like...
