Ron Perlman.

Perlman is an actor who is good in everything even if the movie is horrible. Just like Sam Jackson.

True.

But I'm going beyond that.

I'm saying Ron Perlman's involvement in the project made it enjoyable.

who said this movie is bad??

It's much better than 3, certainly not the level of excellence the first two are at

but i would definatly give it a 7-7.5 out of 10 great sci-fi action

and of course ron pearlmen

One of the worst films ever made, truly horrible. The fact that anyone could even sit through it is proof that we need a eugenics program.

Why not? Alien 3 was crap. I mean, what was the point of killing off all the characters we'd come to love in Aliens? ******ed.

Have you ever seen the Assembly Cut? I assume not. Alien 3 is a far more sophisticated and engaging film that AR. The only one beasides you poor fools who enjoyed AR was this man:

I'll have you know that Dancing Hitler enjoyed a great many things.

They need to go back and CGI-add Perlman into the first 3 Aliens flicks as well.

This is rather amusing. It's like comparing which piece of crap smelled better. I will admit that Aliens 4 was slightly better because at least that movie had characters that were semi-amusing. But it still sucked.

There was nothing good about Aliens 3. The first scene of the film had two glaring plotholes that ruined the movie for me. The end of the previous movie became pointless a few scenes later after all the survivers except Ripley are killed off. None of the knew characters are interesting. I was happy when most of them got killed off. The movie bored me. Some of the CGI looked completely fake. Making an aliens film where the humans don't have any weapons is idiotic.

I've always thought there was a good movie hidden somewhere in Ressurection...I think with a different director and a few re-writes, it could have been great...

I agree, I remember way back then hearing how either the director or script kept getting changed or messed around with by the studio and only some of it is actualy from the titled Director.

once Winona Ryder died.. i thought to myself..... "damn this movie sucks"

The movie certaintly had it's moments. I also liked most of the characters who were illegally selling the humans. Aliens 3 and Aliens vs. Predator are the only aliens films with human characters I didn't give care about.

We are taling about a David Fincher film here. Have you ever seen a movie of his that had much other than doom and gloom in it? Granted, Se7en and Fight Club are incredible films, though they are apples and oranges compared to eachother. Fincher's stuff is pretty much always very, very morbid.

Agreed. The idea of a clone Ripley who shares traits with the xenomorph and could be on either side is a great one. But she ends up little more than an anti-hero with superpowers in a simple retread of the first two movies.

However, Alien 3 has to be downbeat and murky to lead to the emphatic climax. It's probably the most uplifting thing Fincher has done. Ripley's sacrifice creates a burst of light that can be seen from space. Goldenthal's score, gloomy throughout, suddenly bursts out triumphantly, heroically.

This one moment of brightness has all the more effect following two hours of darkness.

I'll go on record to say it's the most effective, impressive and truly powerful heroic sacrifice in any movie I've seen. It really is a monumental, emotional act.

Mmmmmm, I actually hated Perlman in this.

Hes a very solid, consistant actor but was nothing more than a cartoon character in Resurrection. Along with Dominique Pinon he ruined it for me and for some reason survived while all the deeper more interesting characters died swiftly.
