Supergirl All About The Ratings!!!!!!

Well, it does give them a little more time with FX, etc on some of the episodes that are heavier with it than others....also, they probably need a little more time with the musical for sound mixing, etc.

The rating and viewership for Exodus remained the same with 0.7 and 2.17 million viewers.

I'm almost wondering if they should pair Supergirl with Arrow next season.

Tuesdays:
The Flash (23 episodes)
Legends of Tomorrow (16 episodes) then Black Lightning (13 episodes)

Mondays or Wednesdays:
Supergirl (22 episodes)
Arrow (23 episodes)

That could give them the opportunity to brand the other days on the network as something besides comic book shows. And it would make it really easy to do the four part crossover next year; four shows over two nights is a lot easier to digest than four over four. Then they could pair iZombie with something closer to a 50/50 male/female skew, like Riverdale or Supernatural.

But it would be hard to give up Flash and Supergirl as lead ins for new/struggling shows.

I think the CW wants to keep the DC CB shows spread out over four nights to get people used to watching the CW as many nights as possible. The reason LoT was moved to Tuesdays was Riverdale
was more compatable with Supernatural than LoT and the CW didn't want to premiere RD in the Friday death slot.

The rating may be at its lowest, but the viewership went up from the last episode Exodus.

To me it's the viewers that count. And yes I will take not just DST, but also the new series of Dancing with The Stars as well.

Ratings for last night's Flash musical crossover with Supergirl was 0.9 and 2.65 million viewers. Legends was 0.6 and 1.76 million viewers.

Those were the preliminary ratings.

The final ratings were
The Flash: 1.0/2.71 million
Legends: 0.6/1.72 million

Supergirl's final ratings remained the same. 0.6/2.07 million.

Preliminary figures for "Distant Sun" show an improvement over last week, clocking in at 0.7/3, 2.20 million.

Much much better. When the show focuses on Supergirl, viewership goes up.

Really the only way to prove that is to look at the +3 and +7 ratings and viewership. There wasn't really anything in the promos that said it would be Supergirl focused. In fact, the early promotion made it look like a #Sanvers episode.

Talk about false advertising.

I'm actually surprised that I'm not reading more of just that from the #Sanvers shippers twitter......I guess I've muted all of them. Now it's the #Karamel shippers that are getting annoying....lol I saw so much.... #Karamel is the #ENDGAME.... oh brother...lol

Fans tend to look at our shows in a vacuum, and only from our own perspective. When we like or don't like something in a show and there is a (probably coincidental) correlative change in the show's ratings, it's easy and fun to say that it's because they are/aren't doing what we want. It's gratifying to see things we like getting rewarded and things we don't like being punished.

In reality, there's a lot of different reasons shows rise and fall. With the comic book shows, the first culprit to look at is always major sporting events because they tend to skew so heavily male.

I would hazard a guess - and that's all it is --that the lack of any NCAA Tournament basketball games was a significant factor in this week's uptick.

And no premiere of DWTS.... ;)

Fans especially the shippers also tend to think that if they scream loud enough the PTB and writers will go their way. What I have found is the PTB and writers go the direction that they wanted to from the start.

I think the craziness of this season, the hit and misses of the episodes is far more to do with the last minute move to Vancouver. I don't really have anything in particular as far as story lines that I want to see next season, but I do hope that the episodes are far more cohesive and fluid. This season it's been like they start the season over every episode. lol

Even though the episode was lackluster as hell I am happy to see the ratings rise a bit.

They do have precedent with Arrow, though...

I guess we didn't appreciate we had a small blessing in disguise last season with the "ships" then being so terrible/lackluster, we didn't have to worry about these crazed shipper wars since no one cared enough, lol.

Nice to see the ratings bounce back a little.

Kelly, I no longer follow the #Supergirl on Twitter. Too much of a cesspool with all the shippers and SJW's. My spirit is a little cleaner as a result.

By the way, a nice little comeback in the ratings.
