SS just looks like a really good cosplay costume.

Except for the pic of Snake Eyes, these pics aren't inspiring any hope in me. The black tights look pretty damn lame.

EDIT: Though I kinda like Eccelston's look, but maybe thats just cause I like the actor a lot.

Is it sad that I'm looking infinitely more forward to Venture Bros Season 3's OSI over the G.I. Joe movie?

(If you don't want to see the entire trailer, skip to minute 3:54. I doubt the G.I Joe movie will be a 1/10th as cool as that 15 seconds.)

Surprised that they didn't release Cover Girl.

It was stupid to make all they're outfits black. The costumes all look the same and they're just generic looking. The only ones I really like are The Baroness and Snake Eyes.

I can't wait till Stephen Sommers defends the black outfits as realistic. I'll fall out of my chair laughing.

Funny how the only ones people seem to like are also the only ones that retained their classic looks.

Realistic? Maybe. Unoriginal? Definitely.

Its just funny, because I know thats going to be the defense. And it'll be funny because Stephen Sommers, who directed the ludicrous over the top sequences in Van Helsing, will be emphasizing realism in a movie about action figures.

I'm sorry but I'll take this...

Someone's been watching Sigma 6. :csad:

Oh, god. I hadn't seen the new pics until now. This movie keeps getting worse and worse. :(

Awhile back, I don't remember if it was Stephen Sommers or one of the producers but they said they was going for a "Batman Begins" feel for this movie, and then I guess by the second movie (if it gets that far) it'll be more comic-booky than the first movie. To me the outfits don't look bad just unoriginal like someone else stated. Snake Eyes is about the best I should say.

I admit that the uniforms look bland but after all they ARE uniforms. You don't see soldiers wearing certain colors that give off their characteristics. Also, the movie takes place 10 years in the future. It makes sense that these uniforms are high tech.

Check out this pic of Peruvian Riot Police:

I also want to add that its obvious that these costumes are gonna be for the final battle/stealth operation. I'm sure they will wear regular military BDU's earlier in the film.

Not a GI Joe fan but just looking at the pictures I can't say my hopes are too high. The costumes look pretty cheesy and Stephen Sommers directing spells doom he is just an awful director. I am scared to see how Cobra Commander is going to look.

Good thing we don't live in Peru.

It's not realistic for military suits to give you the powers of the Flash.

If the above is possible, then making the armor capable of moving 40 miles an hour(which is hardly the powers of the Flash) isn't too much, if you go by movie logic(Please note I said movie logic).

Movie logic, meaning that cars can explode if you shoot them a few times or land perfectly after shooting up a ramp. Or that you can punch someone without breaking your hand, or go through a plate glass window without shredding yourself.

Even when comic movies say they're going "realistic," they never go all the way, and going with what is perceived as such in a military movie set 10 years in the future featuring little-known technology that has advanced to reflect the time passed is tricky.

Sometimes it's the smallest details that I miss the most that are more important than how a costume looks, in some cases that is.

Like Duke's blonde hair. I would've settled for dirty blonde rather than brown. Duke's known for his blonde hair, it's his trademark.

Same as Breaker's beard. He's always had that beard. Why take it away?

Hawks brown flight jacket.

Covergirl's Red-ish brown hair. I'm not diggin' the blonde look.
