The Dark Knight All signs lead to an amusement park confrontation

Would definately prefer it to be an old, condemned amusement park - just like in TKJ and MOTP.

It gives the whole 'creepy vibe'.

I agree. In TKJ The Joker buys an old amusement park. Do you think he'll do the same in TDK with the money from the bank robbery?

I heard his lair was an old candy factory. (I might be wrong)

Gene Wilder would have made a great Mad Hatter.

Id like to see the 'killing joke' amusement park....that would make me over joyous.

I think that the Joker just stole the semi truck.

Candy Factory is probably Joker's first hide-out. Maybe the end of the beginning of the movie or somewhere in the middle. He blows it up in favor of better surroundings(either Batman's on his tail or he just wants to upgrade for the hell of it), and goes off to the amusement park. Which will be his hide-out for the rest of the movie. And that's where we'll see the final showdown.

so the new pics and footage coming out seem to indicate a conclusion/finale following A CHASE. i am so tired of this. begins concluded following a chase. does this batman joker one have to end following a chase as well!?! that should be one of their earlier encounters. i want a personal, creepy, man vs. man showdown that's quiet, intense and brutal at a rundown amusement park. there is an entire movie for them to chase each other.

just saying

If you're talking about the new capture footage, I don't think that chase sequence is in the end, more towards the beginning or in the middle, but definately not the end of the film...

the scooper seemed to think it was the end because dent is talking about the capture of the joker.

That was something posted on a photographer's website, saying Nolan was looking for a factory to blow up and a candy factory was chosen. Only place it's been mentioned though

It probably could be the middle, since they don't fully understand the Joker's insanity. They could put him in a regular prison, then have him bust out. At the end, they put him in Arkham.

maybe so. i want a final showdown in the rain, dammit! amusement PAAARK!!!

I think Joker lurking in a chocolate factory is just stupid.

If he's going to be at any hideouts it should be an unknown place or a dark abandoned broken down Amusement Park.

Abandonned amusement park, even though it's done perfectly in the killing joke, might be a little too scooby doo for Nolan. We'll see. Either way, it will be cool to see what they come up with, in terms of lair and confrontation.

Great opening post. I'd love to see this.
