I think a Costner Jonathan Kent had more to offer this franchise. Would have preferred for him to stay alive.
So I assume with those set pics, Bruce Wayne will be on the hunt for Clark's past?

While I do have a lot of issues with MoS, this scene was not one of them and I have never understood the criticisms. It was very consistent with Pa Kent's established characterization and was emotional pretty powerful.
