I said the same thing in the News/Photos Thread. It's weird to be excited about a detail like that, but as Batman it's really exciting. They FINALLY got it right.

Because God knows they totally, TOTALLY shouldn't show the KEY moment of Batman's origin story in a movie starring a new iteration of the character. Nevermind that it'll probably amount to a few minutes of flashback AT MOST, they just shouldn't do it. We already saw it a movie that'll be 11 years old by the time this comes out, so **** it.

Ive been saying this for months. Joaquin Phoenix for the Joker. That was my first choice. Still is. I've said that Joaquin would probably play the Joker if it was a one-off role. Now, im not sure if he would do this version of the Joker, or this version of Lex Luthor, because it's a pretty long ride. It's 3 films usually. And who knows, maybe he's not a fan of Zack Snyder. There are plenty of actors who i assume don't want to work with Zack because he's known for a lot of CG, green screen, special effects driving a project without much substance. Bale passed on his war film with Sean Penn. So Joaquin may have passed on Lex for that reason. Im just speculating.
I think it needs to happen when it's a new director doing something new. We saw it in Batman, Batman Forever, Batman Begins and now Batman v Superman. As long as it's a very brief scene/flashback then move on. Plus when Burton did it, it was Zorro wasn't it? With the whole Napier angle. Nolan did it with the opera and specifically Joe Chill.
