BvS All Things Batman v Superman: An Open Discussion - - Part 115

There is so much going both with CBMs and other films that I really feel the time will fly mostly towards the release date.

At the end of the day, the only semi-factual things that are fueling this "death" debate are:

1. Pictures of a superman statue.

2. Reports of Ben, Amy, Diane, and Fishburne filming at SV cemetery, without Cavill.

3. Cavill saying that he loves the death arc.

Some people said that he was on set but then they also said he was probably on set to deter from the fact that it's his funeral. I honestly don't know what to make of all these things. This could be a classic case of over speculating and but in reality we know nothing. I like that despite all of that being presented to me, I still don't know what's going on.

Actually it was reported Cavill was at the cemetery.

The person who reported filming at the SV cemetery said he saw both Henry and Affleck shooting scenes..

Maybe it was he was there to film as Clark's spirit, telling him that he must create the JL

But he was never pictured on set nor was he caught filming. Amy,Ben and Lawrence were.

Maybe Cavill took a page out of his WWE Counterpart's book.

I posted before, that I am open to a "downer ending". I'm open to a DOS riff, even "Batman forms the League". I am just also open to none of that happening, since concrete details are hard to come by. We still have Jesse's freakin' hair style up in the air, with our only "proof" on that a BTS table read pic from NOW YOU SEE ME 2.

I wish I had that outlook, that way nothing would disappoint me in the end.lol

I don't see how this relates to the production of the film. Christian Bale said several times his favourite Batman story was Dark Victory, but he'd never do a film with a "proper" Robin in it.

I just don't think they would kill Superman before there is even a Justice League. In his first movie with Batman? Think of all the kids who are going to see this movie in droves, it would be a downer for sure if Supes died. And not to mention, it makes less of an impact dying fighting alongside new acquaintances , as opposed to dying beside trusted friends and allies you have known and fought beside before.

Maybe a few movies from now they can try their hand at a Death of Superman type of film, but in his first outing with Batman and some other future leaguers present, having him die would feel cheap and lazy, at least to me anyways. They have a chance to tell an amazing story here, are they really so short on ideas that they have to kill Superman this early in the DCU to tell an amazing story?

It would be interesting if, again, IF they make that a point in the film. Bats was injured and that's why he's been keeping a very low profile? Maybe that plays into these Gordon rumors? If true, of course.

I don't know how reliable 'Batman-News' is, but they reported a while back that the statue gets built for him after Zod's invasion.
