Watching the "Mad Max: Fury Road" trailer makes me wonder about the Justice League movie which was almost directed by George Miller. I read the first draft of the script a while ago, and it was pretty good, albeit overstuffed. It combined quite a few elements from "Infinite Crisis" into an overall decent script which would obviously be polished further to remove some glaring issues.

The script did have a few really awesome scenes including the final battle with the OMACs, a very well written sacrifice by Barry Allen and the absolute highlight - a fight between Superman and Wonder Woman (with Aquaman and Martian Manhunter for backup).

Wonder what would have happened if the writer's strike and a weakening dollar had not prevented the movie from being shot in 2007, all the actors, cast and crew had already gathered to shoot in Australia before the plug was pulled.

I would like to see the Barry Allen/Flash sacrifice onscreen in JL2 perhaps.

It would be a great touching scene. Especially with Barry being so liked by everyone in and outside of the JL.

JL was in nearly parallel pre-production with Nolan's Batman. I believe that WB pulled the plugon the JL mainly because of the Writers Guild of America Strike.

Nolan did have influence mainly because Talia was being used in both films. Than WB' realized it was a rush job with a crappy cast.

What if Callan Mulvey is playing Two-Face? I know it's a stretch, and I know this film isn't a complete live action Dark Knight Returns, but it's possible. Maybe that's who causes Batman to come out of retirement. Maybe Batman's intro will be a chase against some thugs and Two Face. I wouldn't mind it.

That JL Doom script had major issues, one of which was making Maxwell Lord the main villain and ramping up the Villain Sue stuff for the character, then making Talia a glorified damsel in distress with no character. As bad as some may see Cotillard's Talia, she still had some depth to her, and was a more credible threat in the five minutes she had to be the baddie in TDKR then in the entire JL Doom script.

Plus, I'm not a big fan of using Batman's plans as the main plot of a film when the franchise hasn't already given us a few films to get to handle the characters working together for a while.

And now knowing that SvB is basically a prologue (not prequel) to JL, I really like this procedure better. If the execution was off on JL Doom they might sink the franchise because there's too much stuff going on. The same risk is here, but lessened by the focus on two heroes and on world building.

Guys, a good friend of mine who lives in Nicaragua went to the Hobbit premier last night (it officially released there today) and I asked him about the trailers when he posted how much he enjoyed it on FB. He said the trailers he saw were for Avengers and Seventh Son. While this doesn't confirm anything, it does lend itself to what we may get and what we may not get.

Also, Mark Hughes responded to my "BvS teaser before the Hobbit" speculation saying " Well I didn't say it WILL air for sure next week, just that I've heard buzz that it would & I believe it will. I still think so."
