I think Doomsday will become Lex's Frankenstein. Much like Ultron was Stark's. He makes something he can't control and it gets out of hand.

Doomsday already exists in this world. No need to be created.

What will protect you from Superman breaking your neck is if you're not a villain of enormous power trying to wipe out the human race. Simple. Otherwise: Snap!

Just saw that everyone's favorite blogger Devin Faraci said that there are NOT too many characters in this movie, and that it all works. Though he did say that it might feel a little "retro" after Age of Ultron.

Look, I'm no fan of Devin, but I think that if a guy who can't go five minutes without making fun of the title or taking a shot at DC/WB is saying that the movie works and that it's not overstuffed (AND that it's truly a MOS sequel... he said this a little while ago) then I think we can put to rest any fears that the film is going to be a crowded mess. Now, granted, a lot of things can change as a movie moves from the script to the screen, but it sounds like this movie is really going to work.

I don't think Faraci is very credible at all...I think he has "A" script but not "THE" script...his script is fake.

We're still so far out from this movie that anything, positive or negative, should be taken with a grain of salt.

Still, if what Devin says is true, it is certainly encouraging. It would just go back to what many of us have been saying for months. We have absolutely no idea what is going on with this movie plot-wise, so freaking out over "too many characters" is the very definition of a premature reaction.

So you actually think Faraci has the script?

A little while back he claimed to have read a near-final draft of it. Perhaps it was a fake (as we know these were floating around) but everyone seems to think Doomsday is a sure thing for this movie, and that script is where that rumor originated.

only if they keep with the comics version. I was thinking that the Primal genetic code in Clark's blood might provide the material needed to clone a Doomsday.

Superman's skin may be indestructible, but there is a blood sample of Supe's blood somewhere when Jax-UR found the codex within' his genetic code. Somehow that could make its way back around to cloning Doomsday.

yeah the Kryptonians made him bleed on their ship.(because of the atmosphere) and with their weapons. (also the laser on the ship he and Lois were on cut him on the shoulder)So finding some of his blood is not impossible.

A hero losing control of an AI and a villain losing control of a flesh and blood super-powered Frankenstein would play out differently enough.

I feel like doomsday should be from space ie not "man made" or cloned by a villain. The sole purpose of doomsday is not to destroy Superman (writers want that but not Bertron ) but to survive. The ultimate survival machine.

I have my moments of worrying about the film being crowed but it's a really a stupid worry and intellectually I always know that. As long as the characters are well integrated into the story there is no such thing as too many characters.

Doomsday is a Kryptonian experiment. So he was created.

You know, with these comments, I wish this would have been the fictional guy in MoS trapped with his family and being inches away from being fried by Zod's heat vision. I bet he wouldn't be making these comments if it was his family Supes saved by making a difficult decision to snap Zod's neck. He'd be the first one kissing the shine off of Supe's red boots.

I mean not created by Lex or some human scientist. If it is created by Lex then its purpose will be to kill Superman. not like the "survival machine" as in the comics (The irony is that the writers want to kill Superman so they created a survival machine :woot:)

BvS will not be complete without a scene where Superman snaps someone else's neck and Batman gives him the "Oh, you!" look

Snap - Superman
Crackle - Batman
Pop - Wonder Woman

It's been foretold! :o

This morning, from Devin:

Devin Faraci (Badass Digest) had some things to say about BvS. He's supposedly read the screenplay:

Devin Faraci @devincf
And you know, BATMAN V SUPERMAN is interesting, plotwise, but it's going to feel a little retro after AGE OF ULTRON.

One last BvS thing, and something I've said before: there are NOT too many characters in the movie. It all works. It's not overstuffed.
If he read the script, then I guess that means that he bought Ben Affleck's script from ebay.

What does retro even mean, under this context?

I'm not sure. Especially when the comparison is made to Age of Ultron, a movie that comes out less than a year before.

Speak for yourself. I'd rather die than have Superman kill someone to save me. :o

He should have let the entire world die. It was the only way to avoid becoming the man of murder :o
