USA Today asked Scoot McNairy about BvS:

“Man, I would love to spend hours with you about it but I don’t know if you’d see me in another movie if I did.”

What McNairy will say, though, is he’s glad his first superhero movie is with director Zack Snyder — “an incredible filmmaker and an incredible visionary” — and BvS was a hoot. “Playing in that world with comic books you’ve been reading since you were a kid, being someone in that world, it’s awesome.” And when it comes to Superman and Snyder, to quote The Lego Movie, everything is awesome.

McNairy did reveal, rather cryptically of course, that elements of his mystery comic-book role were a major challenge for him.

“It’s definitely 100% a character I’ve never played and I can’t speak too freely on it, but yeah, getting into that thing was definitely something I had to wrap my head around emotionally in order to play that character. But with that being said, I had a lot of fun doing it when I was in the process of shooting on it — my head was in a different place but I’m really excited to see how it turns out and what they do with it and see the film.”

Warner Bros.’ “Suicide Squad” still looks to be one member short.

Following Tom Hardy’s departure from the role of Rick Flag, sources now tell Variety that Jake Gyllenhaal has passed on an offer to play the leader of the superhero team.
WB had no comment.
The film currently stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne, with David Ayer directing. The pic doesn’t go into production until April, so there is still plenty of time to find another person to fill the role.
The film is set to bow Aug. 5, 2016.

This worries me. Hardy and Gyllenhaal passing on this tells me something isn't right. I also read that Hardys real reason for leaving was due to last minute character changes in the script. Apparently there's some dumb twist or Flagg isn't as huge of a character as originally planned.

Brad Pitt is my only hope for this role because of Fury, and i can see him as that character.

Flagg was never a big character. And any movie that has Joker and then cast's Leto and Will Smith in it won't be as big. Alejandro Iñárritu also confirmed his movie The Revenant is running behind schedule.

Gylenhaal also has been on a role lately in his movies don't want to play a bit part role anyway.
