I was never interested in Superman. Sure, I watched Superman TAS as a kid and I liked it, but I was more
of a Batman fan. Lights out, alone with some snacks and this image comes on ...

That slow orchestra "BRAAAAA" during the WB Logo transition.. oh, man! I loved it to this day.

Everyone was talking about Christopher Reeve and how awesome Superman The Movie is.
I was never drawn to it. Not the second or third one, definitely not Superman Returns. For me it was all about The Bat.
But the moment I saw that first trailer (I only ever saw one, didn't even know there are #2 and #3) for Man of Steel I knew I had to watch it.
And I've lost count on how many times I've seen it (Same for TDK Trilogy).
I love it. Everything about it. There is not one single thing that I don't like about Man of Steel.
I don't care what "critics" and "fanboys" say.
Ever since MoS I am a Superman fan too. I'm not a "Who would win in a fight : Bats or Supes" guy, no!
I love both, I am both. We all are in a way.. I think we are Superman and Batman in one. One side of us wants to inspire people, give hope
and save the world...the other one is dark and brutal, who just wants to go out and kick ass, bring justice... in a not so friendly way!

So, yeah.. like I said : Before, I wasn't interested in Supes. Now I love him!
WB knows exactly what they're doing and they sure know how to attract attention and fans.
I don't need all these "news" and promotion stuff every now and then to keep the hype level up. It's already there, because I know
the characters are in the right hands.

Careful... you might just summon a certain poster or two who will start preaching to you about the importance of the Richard Donner film and how no one actually liked MOS (you just think you do, but you're wrong!) and how it's the saddest time in history to be a Superman fan.

The thing about not spoiling yourself too much is that your cinema going experience is going to be richer and rewarding. Maybe memorable. It's universally true for kids and teens.

It is no surprise that when I when in to see Superman in '78, Star Wars in '77, Alien in '79, and The Terminator, I was completely blown away by these films. To this day, Superman remain my number one favourite film. In all of these films, I only saw the trailer for Alien, so I went into the theatre with almost no idea about these films. In fact, all of my theatre experiences in 70s & 80s went unspoiled. Made for excellent experience in last acts especially in Alien and The Terminator.

If you spoil yourself too much you're only setting yourself up for disappointment. Just put on your headphone and sing, la-la-la-la-la , or develop a new hobby and maybe you will arrive in 2016 to see BvS unspoiled!

This was pretty neat.

It made me wonder, in BvS, will Batman be viewed more as a villain then a hero? I think he'll be going after Supes with the best of intentions but through his actions (and from the audiences perspective) he'll look like a villain. This video you posted gave me this whole new sympathy for Clark, one for where the world rejects him after risking his life to save it.

The Superman statue that was revealed during filming will be in a place called "Heroes Park" .. which is a park in the middle of Metropolis built where Black Zero levelled everything. It is there to honor Superman who saved the city (and the world) and also to honor those that died during Zod's attack..
